We planned to go to Mount St. Helen first but it was raining so we did this instead, is a nice and fun "museum" and you can take some good hours on it, its also very goof for kids since its very interactive.
This is a legendary museum. There are great exhibits, lots for the kids to see and touch, and some amazing aircraft to explore in the annex across the street.
So informatory, give yourself a day here. There is that much to see and learn about. Well laid out, tours of airplanes are so cool to see.
Our family really enjoyed the Museum of Flight. One of the things we enjoyed the most was the 3D movie. It was very fascinating as they took you through the building of one of the jetliners. We also learned a lot through the hundreds of displays and the staff were very helpful in answering questions. We enjoyed going thru Air Force One in the John F. Kennedy era and the Concord. The only disappointing part was that not all of the jets were available to tour. For some reason the 747 was not open to tour. But all in all, if you enjoy flight you will really enjoy this museum and even if you don't you will be amazed on how much fun flight can be.
Outstanding hands-on museum dedicated to flying machines, from the earliest to the latest. A treat for kids to grandpas! Well worth the short drive out of town.
If you are interested about history of flights (as assumed if select museum of flight), this is your place. Museum covers information, pictures and videos from very early steps to space visits. It was nice to see some military fighters close. In airpark Concorde was a bit surprise to me. I thought that all seats would have been business seats all but no. Regular seats with limited space. Flight has been fast but not extra comfortable. The first air force one was also interesting see. It was funny to see dog door for the area presidents have travelled but those presidents had dog.The best part was simulator. There are actually two simulators but take the one on the right from entry. You can select your fighter out of many and hunting begins (16 USD). Simulator rolls freely i.e. you will be hanging head down occasionally. Kill more 5 enemies and you beat me !Would I visit again ? No. Was it worth to visit ? Yes. How much time should be reserved to cover most of museum, airpark and space gallery ? Minimum 2 hours.
I am mildly interested in the history of flight and I thought it was a great museum to visit as there are amazing amounts of information and demonstrations to see. I don't remember the cost, but quite inexpensive if I recall.
