Popped into this place before dinner and what a great find! I had the samplers whilst hubby opted for the naughty otter. Excellent beer and the master brewery was so funny. Really enjoyed the trip

The Gananoque Brewing Company is located right near the river and just a stone's throw from downtown. They offer a tour several times a day which is really an explanation tour about how beer is made. The guide's knowledge was almost excessive to the pint (pun intended) but we learned a lot about the process. We do wish the guide would have included more of the history of the village of Gananoque and how a new brewery in such a small town makes its mark. Their product though, is excellent. It is worth the short walk to take the 30-40 minute tour.

If you are in Gananoque I suggest that you visit the brewery and have a beer, or two. Gananoque was a great place to visit because everything was walking distance from the hotel. Since we were walking we had the 5 beer tasting, their beers are all quite good though not really outstanding except for the Black Bear Bock which I particularly liked. The building was interesting, the local history and legend was a nice part of the experience. The staff person was helpful and charming.

Many of the local eateries serve beer brewed locally by the Gananoque Brewing Company. My girlfriend and I stopped by to sample the wares, and they have a sampler deal, 5 samples for $5.00-$6.00. I especially enjoyed the Black Bear Bock, and even went back later for a full pint. The building is old with a lot of character, but the brewing equipment is state of the art. A great place to stop for a drink in Gananoque.

This local Micro Brewery just recently opened! A great little stop after a day of cycling/walking to sip on their local beer! Flavourful for sure. 5 beer selections to choose from - you should find a favourite. The beer 'chef' new to Gananoque but seems to know what he likes, we think he will be a future beer master. We wish him well!

We visited the Gananoque Brewing Company during the Gorumets of Gananoque Food Festival. The historic building is gorgeous. We each bought a 4-brew sampler. All beers were great including the Naughty Otter, Rhubard Whitbier, and a dark option. My personal favourite was the Cooper's Hawk IPA. Definitely recommend this place. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is merchandise available for purchase. Can't wait to return for a tour.
