加拿大圣母大教堂在加拿大首付渥太华市中心，国会山庄背面。外观宏伟，大理石外墙，有2个高大的尖顶塔楼，前面还飘扬着加拿大国旗。值得一看。

As others have mentioned the Basilica is worth dropping into see. It may not be as glamorous as the one in Montreal or Europe but it still offers a lot to see as far as architectural and stained glass windows . Also offers good historical history.

Every year I go back to the Basilica at least several times as I enjoy the beautiful church with all its decorations. As a Catholic I enjoyed a wedding ceremony some twelve years ago when our daughter decided to get married there in the middle of january. The setting is majestic and cannot be equalled and all attendees were awestruck by the building and came away with great memories. A great place to reflect and find some peace and quiet in this turbulent world.

If are a church architectural viewer.. you'll fall in love with Ottawa's Basilica an amazing period of art an peaceful for the weary after a long day's walk in our beautiful city. We have many beautiful churches but none rival this in it's splendor.

A surprisingly beautiful church in the downtown core. Regardless of your religious inclinations, at least pop in and take a look!

Dont be intimidated, they encourage visitors. Worth a look inside. If you are lucky they will tell you about the history and maybe show you the crypts. A beautiful piece of architecture.

My mom requested this visit.It was difficult finding the disability parking and entrance which was located at the top.Most areas were accessible, but not always easy to find.The view was nice from the top.

It is beautiful on the inside with the wood-carved saints at the altar and paintings of Christ on the cross, etc. Even though it is a large building, it maintains a comfortable (welcoming) feeling on the inside. An excellent experience all-round.

This Cathedral is something to see! The inside job was redone and its is brighter and glorious to see. I was in awe to see such a beautiful Cathedral in the heart of Ottawa. There is also a small gift shop at the entrance of the Cathedral. I encourage anyone to see especially when there is a big celebration being held in the Catherdale. The music is music to the ears, and the choir is out of this world! Come and see you won't be sorry! :)

We thoroughly enjoyed the EU Country Christmas Concert early December with our friends.It was just simply beautiful to hear the three choirs sing Christmas / Traditional carols in the 27 languages of the current EU countries.A Christmas treat not to be missed.

My girlfriend and I were walking past and decided to take a look inside. It was amazing. The ceiling was a breathtaking royal blue and it's incredibly ornate. We sat quietly and absorbed the architecture for 10 minutes before leaving. If you can appreciate beauty like this it's definitely worth a visit.

Come inside. Prepare to give a donation. Absorb the marvels of the Creation!!! Enough said, you need to see it and experience it for yourself!

I am very into this type of architecture so I visit churches, cathedrals and basilica's everywhere I go. This one had limited access. The one in Montreal is far superior.

Though it seems rather plain from the outside, the basilica is a thing of beauty inside. A lovely blue heaven scattered with golden stars soars overhead. Vivid stained glass windows surround the sanctuary. The chancel holds a remarkable collection of sculptures of Biblical figures. It is a quiet oasis of beauty, and a wonderful place to visit.

By meer chanc, i walked into the church right before the start of the sunday mass. As a person of reformist education i have hardly ever attended a catholic mas. But this ceremony was utterly impressive to me. Accompanied by a wonderful choir and organ music. The interior of the basilica is very nice and pieceful. I can only recommend a trip to this church for a sunday mass.
