Having just spent the weekend with Kevin, Jan and Christine aboard the Sea Dragon Charters they totally deserve 5 stars (if only you could have more!) We had 14 divers from Kelowna from very experienced to fairly novice and they were able to cater for all members of the group very well. We had some challenging conditions with visibility but the can do attitude of Kevin and Jan meant we were still able to get into the water and have some great diving. We are really looking forward to heading back to Howe Sound in the next few months and diving again with this first class operation. If you are looking to dive the BC Coast then look no further these guys are simply superb! Thank you very much for such a great weekend guys and gals down at Sea Dragon :)

I had never done a boat dive in Howe Sound, thus I was a bit concerned about how was it going to be, however Sea Dragon has exceeded my expectations. The boat was packed with recreational and technical divers and despite that the crew was able to manage the crowd friendly and efficiently, the dive plans were organised in a very efficient way, and no one had to wait an unreasonable time for the rest of the divers!At the end of the first dive they had prepared (probably) the best soup I’ve ever had (a chicken tikka soup) that warmed me up and gave me energy for the next dive!Friendly, helpful and efficient this dive charter operation couldn’t be better!If I’m back, this operation if the one I’ll use without any questions!Thanks Kevin and Jan!

Horseshoe Bay on Howe Sound is a spectacular dive location that is close to Vancouver BC. There is only one dive charter operator that runs out of Horseshoe Bay so its a good thing that they are so professional and customer-focused, have a large comfortable boat and know the dive sites so well. I've been out on the Topline about a half dozen times over the past few years. Each time I go, I end up making new dive friends. There is something about the friendly nature that the Sea Dragon staff bring to their work that is infectious.I recommend diving with these folks highly.

My husband and I dive with Sea Dragon on a regular basis. They are a very well run professional operation. We have always had wonderful diving experiences with them. Kevin and Jan are wonderful, warm, welcoming people. We would highly recommend them

I have dove on charters all over the world and Jan & Kevin have a first class operation, couple that with the amazing emerald waters of BC’s coast and you have an awesome dive experience.

I was a little worried going into this excursion because it was my first dive since getting dry suit certified, and I learned that I had to pay extra to have a divemaster guide in the water. Don't sweat this cost. I'd only ever been one other place where they park the boat and everyone goes their own way. Getting the guide turned out to be totally worth it. Like the rest of the staff, she was fun and professional. Having someone who knows how to spot the local fauna is invaluable to make the most of your experience. Plus, if you're a single diver, you really need extra hands to help wrestle you in and out of the dry suit. These people live and breathe diving, and that helps you to feel confident and secure. The owner had arranged for a rental dry suit, and the staff helped to modify the neck for me. --a permanent alteration to the suit. The suit fit fine after that, but the next day, the owner brought his personal suit for me, so I had a perfect fit. I used a GoPro, and a small flashlight, and my videos look great. I can't wait to go back.

We spent the weekend diving Nanaimo, with Kevin and Christine, had great dives on both days . they new just the right places to put us to have the most enjoyable dive, this was my first trip to Nanaimo, so not only did they provide excellent diving for us, but gave us great information about the area so my wife and I could get some great photo opps while I was not diving. all and all we had a great time and I would use them again, and would highly recommend them to anybody.

Two trips with Mr. Kevin and Mr. Chris now and each time its been an awesome scuba trip. Four magnificent dives where they guided and helped an ammeter scuba diver, such as myself, every step of the way. They have absolutely amazing dive spots out at Horseshoe Bay where you can see everything from the Pacific Octopus to Dolphins :)

I spent the week-end diving Howe Sound with this company and all I can say is their whole operation is first class. Great boat with on board air fills. The Captains know all the best dive sites. When I had an equipment problem they were able to help me fix it in a jiffy. Want to experience some great West Coast diving, try them out. I know I will be back.

It was a perfect day for a snorkeling tour in Howe Sound today. The skies were clear and the water was calm. Sea Dragon charters made this trip so easy and fun. It was great getting into the water, wetsuit and all to check out the seals and marine life. Lunch was a great BBQ of hamburgers and hot dogs. They even have kayaks for those who do not want to snorkel. The hospitality and genuine passion of those on the boat and in the water made our trip perfect . With the wind in my hair and the sea spray from the boat coming back to dock was lovely. All in all a perfect day.

We came across a brochure for Sea Dragon Charters in the tourist information in Vancouver. The kids decided that the snorkelling with seals trip looked much more fun than the whale watching trip that we had previously mooted so we signed up even though the tourist information staff hadn't had much previous experience with the company. Kevin and Tony thoroughly looked after us throughout the trip, ensuring that not only were we safe but that we had a fantastic day. None of us had much previous snorkelling experience and the youngest of our party was only 9.There were the four of us and one other on the trip that day which was a really nice size of group. The seals were a bit hesitant to come right up and investigate what was making all the noise but we saw dozens of them at close quarters. The lunch provided was decent and we ended up being out on the water for an hour longer than was strictly advertised with no question of additional fees. We all felt that we'd had a special day and would heartily recommend Sea Dragon Charters. Tony deserves special mention for going above and beyond in making sure that my son had great fun on the day. He's still talking about a return visit in a few years once he's big enough to try and revenge capsize Tony.

Had a great time making my final two dives for open water certification! Highly recommended and will be returning.

My husband and I got our open water certification in Feb. We did not get back into the water as quickly as we had hoped due to a bad cough and cold season and then an ankle injury! In frustration to get back in the water and avoid a steep hike to the waters edge in full gear and weighted we decided to find a local boat dive. A quick Google search led us to Sea Dragon Private Charters. Kevin was fantastic on the phone; his enthusiasm for diving was palpable! He directed me to 'our' dive shop (Ocean Quest) in Burnaby who sold us our vouchers for a two tank dive for the May long week-end. We were welcomed aboard with such warmth and enthusiasm! Keven, Jan and Chris showed us the ropes in how to prepare for a boat dive. The other divers on board were also extremely helpful and provided tips and hints along the way. Jan dove with us while Chris and Kevin stayed on board and monitored our process (and came to pick us up when I got too light in my suit and surfaced half way through the first dive). I was soooooo impressed by Kevin's boating abilities- there Kevin...I put it out there for all to see!The crew was very knowledgeable about the dive sites and explained to us what to expect and what to watch for during our dives. We will definitely be back out on the Topline soon. I had forgotten our vouchers the day of the dive; Kevin offered to let us mail them in to him, but we opted to pay again for the dive and hold on to the vouchers as an incentive to get back out with them soon!

Went out again with Jan and Kevin and had another great day. I can't imagine anyone having a better sense of where and when to dive the various sites in Howe Sound. They have a great boat for diving all year round (can be completely enclosed in the winter or you can lounge on the top surface when the weather warms up). I think one of the best commendations for Jan and Kevin is how many of their customers are regulars.

Kevin and Jan are very experienced operators with a great customized dive boat. I'm from out of town and have done a couple trips with Sea Dragon. All four dives were fantasic and we also saw hundreds of white sided dolfins after the dive. If you are from out of town, BC diving is amazing and worth the trip. As far as diversity of sea life and variety of species, it is amazing as Howe Sound especially has seen a real rebirth and it is very close to downtown Vancouver... (octopus, nudibranch, plumose anenome, wolf eels, star fish, prawns, seals, crabs and thousands more of the strangest things you can find under water). Enjoy and use a drysuit...
