Loved the little creek although walking was a little unsteady for me with uneven ground. Cafe was nice and the volunteers were extremely helpful and quite rightly proud of their Gardens. Very relaxing and enjoyable day

Our second visit to this hidden gem. Certainly different in every season, with different flowering times. One of Australia's garden treasures, with the grand vision of Van Der Velde and Sorenson creating a magical place to stroll around and explore. Make sure to give it time to find all the nooks and crannies in the various terraces. The historic house is fascinating, with its Art Deco features and amazing bathrooms. Lovely Devonshire teas from the volunteers. We spent several hours absorbing the ambience of the property. A wonderful place!

Beautiful, tiered gardens, many sculptures & unique view points on your journey through to a lovely deco "summer house". Continue to bottom of garden & you're given a new range of views of the blue mountains, framed by the garden art. We chanced upon this garden, unaware what we were about to discover, but so glad we did!Would be worth seeing in all seasons, our rainy day activity was perfect!Need to pay entry fee, as property is National Trust, but make sure you allow the estate two hours to fully explore.

Beautiful garden and a fascinating summer house that shows how wealthy people could live not too long time ago. Interesting architecture that harmonizes well with the surrounding nature. Active bird life. A very friendly and helpsome gatekeeper let us in and gave us some background information. A hidden gem indeed.

An absolute delight to visit, whether you're just wandering around appreciating its beauty, or going there for a picnic. Flourishing gardens.

I only came for my girlfriend, but I was pleasantly surprised at the gardens. There was a lot of colour, bird life and history throughout the gardens, and to cap it off was a lovely view of the blue mountains.Since we got there very early, we got to see some amazing birds, including a lyrebird which is usually quite skittish. If you like to take photos, definitely bring a zoom lens as the birds can be quite far away!

The gardens at Everglades was a wonderfully pleasant find! We explored it after watching an outdoor theater production, and found it reminded us of The Secret Garden. Make sure you take the time to walk around the grounds and enjoy a picnic!

The gardens are pleasant, but we had just been to Leura Cascades which are lush, beautiful and free. We paid $20 for 2 adults here but there are many better and free gardens/walks in the local area. We went into the historic house, although wasn't much to see as the 2 rooms upstairs were being used by actors props and clothes. These gardens are pretty but not really worth paying for

I saw the Leura Shakespeare festival here and it was amazing! Totally gorgeous and awe inspiring! I really want to go back and see more of it during the day! Even if you don't like Shakespeare, just go for the sheer beauty of it, especially at sunset - wow!

I will come clean and say that I am a huge fan of all things deco so the house and garden were just delightful - or should I say 'the cats pajamas '. A wonderful place to visit if you like a beautiful garden stroll and to sigh over a deco house to dream of. Would love to see some more signs of deco life but still a lovely diversion from the also beautiful Blue Mountain vistas.

Myself and my 3 children arrived via the Trolley Tour bus so the elderly man working there allowed me admission for $4 instead of $10 and the kids entered for free.. That was fabulous as I don't think anyone should have to pay to visit gardens. He was a very friendly and helpful man. The gardens are very quiet and pleasant but by no means spectacular. Some of the walkways were very very dangerous and had signs saying so. This was because there was so railing next to some of the paths and if you tripped you would fall off the edge and down a steep hill. We spent 2 hours here. There are a lot of fabulous birds to see and we saw 3 wonderful black cockatoos. We stopped off at the tea rooms and had milkshakes, spiders and a lovely French Cake. The elderly ladies who served us were very nice. The cake was delicious. We saw rehearsals talking place for a play that to be put on later in the month which was interesting. There was a vintage bathroom on display which i found interesting and the actual functioning toilets were clean. I would say give this place a miss if you have to pay full price as there are many other free gardens that are much nicer but if you can get in for cheap like I did then go. There are nice views of the mountains and its very relaxing. The entrance has some home made jams and souvenirs as well.

A tranquil antidote after the busy experience of the Blue Mountain sightseeing trips. Nice gardens, views, house and outdoor theatre.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are of picnicking with my family at the Everglades Gardens in the leafy Blue Mountains village of Leura. Thirty years later and the gardens have lost none of their beauty and charm. The Everglades are worthy of a visit at any time of the year. They are particularly appealing in April when the numerous deciduous plantings display their striking autumnal colours. The tea rooms are located in the historic 1930s Everglades House and serve the traditional fare of Devonshire Tea and the like. If given the chance, I thoroughly recommend taking in a performance of the brilliant theatre company Sport for Jove, who use the delightful Everglades Garden Theatre each January during the Leura Shakespeare Festival.

As an about to move to blue mountains person, I really liked looking at all the flowers to have ideas on how to do my garden.

Very pleasant surprise and a great find. Lovely gardens, and pleasant walk all around. House was fairly basic, and this was explained, but still good to look around and see the retro decor. Loved the tea rooms, and had very reasonable priced tea and cakes, and lovely chatty helpful staff (volunteers?). Gardeners happy to stop and chat and give information too. Very pleasant morning all around.
