southern gateway centre

It's not easy pulling in here unless you are driving south on the freeway. We came from Wollongong for lunch and you have to drive a little further north and turn around to get back. However, the brochures about the region are plentiful with any questions answered in a friendly and knowledgeable way. There are some quality souvenirs and T Shirts, restrooms and a couple of eateries closeby. Best of all though are the superb views along the Illawarra Coastline.Enjoy your experience!

Although difficult to reach if one is coming from the South the centre has many choices for food from formal to casual to delicious gelato! Besides that, the information centre has any brochures you may require to make your stay in Illawarra one not to be forgotten.

Stopped here for the information centre for help on what to do in the region - had been years since my last trip and the staff were very helpful - so much to do but without help, you would be struggling to work out priorities.A great view of the coastline.

Nice place to stop and stretch your legs mid trip, too bad about the cafe service or lack thereof.Place does not cater for families who want to buys some coffee and drinks but eat their own snacks. Lets be quite clear, this is a roadside stop over facility which forces you to buy from the cafe or you don't get a place to sit!Never returning again!

It's a lovely spot to stop and stretch your legs and maybe have a comfort stop. Lovely uninterrupted views for miles. When we walked in we had a girl approach us immediately to see if she could help us. Lots of free info about the Wollongong area and beyond.

Nothing there, only the view is interesting, over priced restaurant, nothing for the average family and hard to get to if you miss the turn coming from Campbelltown direction. Another waste of ratepayers money, bought to you by Wollongong City Council.
