Great mix of local organic produce and food to eat; fantastic book and bric-a-brac stalls; friendly stall holders; shady market space.
'Car boot market' is pretty much all you need to know. It's in a car park underneath a shopping centre too. Not a particularly great experience.
Great markets mostly undercover of the Lismore Mall. Lots of great stalls. Lots of homemade craft as well as bric a brac
First time visiting the market and I was surprised by the number of stalls and the large variety of goods. Great to see quality second hand items and stylish hand made items. A bit more effort gone into selecting stallholders which shows. Great atmosphere. Lots of food vendors.
I love to go to the markets occasionally. There's a great variety of things there for you to peruse through at your will. There's always live music, food and coffee available from little stands. I recommend getting in early-ish otherwise you're going to have to walk a bit, which isn't a bad thing unless you end up buying something inconvenient to walk around the place with.
Interesting but nothing you could not find in any other market. Plenty of food alternatives. Prices in some cases are are a little higher than alternative locations.Need to park a fair distance off and street parking is limited. Part of underground car park is available but this is quickly filled. Most stalls are protected from the weather.Visiting the shopping centre above provides a rest but many shops are closed when market is on.
This market takes place in the covered car park under Lismore's biggest shoppng mall, so is protcted from rain. You can buy practicaly anything, and there are plenty of food stalls. However, be prepared to park some distance away and walk, as the car park is full of market stalls.
Lismore Car Boot markets are a great market generally secondhand clothing and items but also have home made as well. Food is fantastic range of everything, fruit and veges galore and also plants. Undercover if it rains as well. Advice get there early
If your a Seller or a Buyer, The Lismore Carboot Market is for You! It doesn't matter what your tastes may be as there is somthing for everyone. A place you can come too even when the weather is rainy, it's undercover. Plenty of variety within all the stalls, food outlets and entertainment area's with busker's throughout. A wonderous journey around all the stalls is to be had by all. If you have something to offer the community by way of a providing a stall then see Marnie at the Office. All the Staff are friendly and efficient, you couldn't get a better team anywhere. You too will love The Lismore Carboot - Have a Wonderous Day ;)
There are a range of things to see at the lismore markets, which are held underneath the Lismore Shopping Square. Although the location isn't terribly nice since it's underneath the shopping centre, at least it's dry when it rains! I particularly love the fresh fruit and veg and the friendly service offered by stall holders.
The car boot market has been going for a very long time. It attracts the quirky folk of the northern Rivers as well as your more traditional types. The food is wonderful with great variety of fresh produce for sale. The atmosphere is busy and vibrant. There are lots of second hand stalls - sometimes an overload of these. But there are always bargains to be had. The coffee caravan in the northwest corner sells the best coffee and cakes ever. Thats what I look forward to the most. During wet weather it is dry but it can be a bit dark and dingy if people don't have a good lighting set up. There is often great busking and the music and entertainment can be surprisingly good.
This market is held under Lismore Shopping Square on the first and third Sunday each month from about 8 am - 2.30 pm.There's always a HUGE range of things on offer. Secondhand goods (garage sale style), retro goods and clothing, plants, flowers, fresh local produce, handmade goods such as soap, essential oils, clothing, accessories, as well as handicrafts from places such as Thailand, Burma, India, etc. There are some sweet old ladies who make soft toys - the prices start at only $5. Local artists and photographers often have stalls here. Things change all the time so you never know what you're going to find.Hot food is always very popular at these markets - the masala dosa seems to be a favourite. There's one coffee stall there most market days where people will wait up to 30 min if they have to because the coffee is so good. It's down one end across the road from the vet clinic. They make great chai tea too!One of the best things about the Car Boot Market is that 95% of it is undercover so the weather won't spoil your bargain hunting. Also, there are ATMs upstairs inside the Square if you need more cash.
