Haven't been for a number of years but heard there was a new chef/owner now running the kitchen. Was impressed by the variety, freshness and value of the menu and the ever popular stone grill was still available much to my husbands delight! Our kids were kept entertained by the Busy Nipper bags and loved the free ice cream. Friendly and helpful staff. We'll definitely be back, this time with friends!
Here for a work event. Despite being asked to put in our dinner selections from a set menu a few weeks ahead of time, a number of our group had to reorder as requested meals could not be provided. Things went from bad to worse. The dinner rolls were mouldy and not replaced, two entrees were returned barely eaten due to overcooking or poor quality, main meals were disorganised and one so badly overcooked it was returned uneaten. The desserts were not available or not eaten. Neither soda, mineral or sparkling water was available, no yoghurt even after a request made two weeks ahead of time. Apparently their supply truck did not arrive.Rooms clean and comfortable. Please eat elsewhere. It would be worth the drive in to Dickson which is pretty close.

Book if you hope to get a meal at this place. The food and service is excellent. Steak cooked to perfection, although they do "hot rock" cooking as well. Saturday nights the place is really jumping. We will definitely be back next time we are in Eagle Hawk.
We have been going to Eagle Hawk for the Thursday night raffles for many years. Always a great night for the family. Everyone is friendly and there is never any trouble. They even have a kids prize after the meat raffle where all the kids get a free ticket and a prize each.A great family friendly pub with great food, definately worth the visit!!
On a recent trip to Canberra we chose a wotif mystery deal for our accommodation. We ended up at the Ibis Styles Eaglehawk which we think is under new management. Whilst the accommodation was alright, we were pretty disappointed to find their restaurant was closed on a Saturday night. This along with a rainy day, being a little way out of Canberra and a truck accident on the highway between us and the city, the choices for our evening entertainment was limited. But the Eagle Hawk turned out to be our savoir for our afternoon happy hour and evening meal. The food was great and cooked the way we liked in reasonable time. It soon started to get pretty crowded and I can see why, very popular with large family groups. Thank you Eagle Hawk you saved us from a dreary evening.
