We were on a long weekend stay in Yarra Glen and wanted to make sure we got to visit Sticks again. Problem was when could we fit it in to our already fairly full schedule .We had a wedding to go to Sunday afternoon but saw we could squeeze in Sunday lunch. This time of year at Sticks on a Sunday is just fantastic. Buy your wine from the cellar door by the bottle or the glass. Grab a seat out on the deck or on the lawn and listen to some great music from the band.The band sets up on the edge of the vineyard on a small stage. Let the tunes groove your day away. Platters are available from the winery or you can order something more substantial from the locally run Spanish Food Caravan. (Usually a delicious gourmet sausage BBQ on the deck)These are Sunday afternoons that you never want to end.The Staff are friendly and helpful with all your needs and inquiries .Love this place .

Sometimes, everything comes together to create a special experience. On our visit to Sticks, the combination of the company, the location, the wines, the food and the music was just perfect. The Sticks Winery is little out of the way, off the Melba Highway at the back of Yarra Glen, but well worth finding.Sticks make superb wines so that was always going to be a good basis for a top-notch day. We had two musical acts on the day - the Engine Room pumping out a series of rock classics and Tom Rule playing some lovely acoustic originals.The staff are fantastic and we were very well looked after all day. We sat on the balcony, but there are also spots on the grass nearer the stage. The cheese plater that we ordered for lunch was right on the mark, with top-quality ingredients.The Sticks Sunday Sessions are well worth checking out! The souvenir t-shirts are neat as well.

Excellent host, and excellent wines. The view from the cellar door is actually beautiful. Definitely worth the trip!

Out of the way of other wineries, but well worth the detour. Friendly, stunning location, great wines. We will definitely be back.

We went to Sticks on a wine tour with the wonderful Wild Wombat company and returned the following Sunday for their Sunday sessions. It is exactly as they advertise on their flyer, live music (in our case a local band the Hannafords), sausage sizzle and a cheese plate with a bottle of their good wine, in the deck in the shade on a hot summer afternoon, while the band played in the vines. Perfection..
