Lots of shops, & restaurants, some are outdoor dining type. Very relaxing place to walk. Has a fountain in the middle. It also has a convenient "Hop on Hop Off" kiosks outside the mall. Makes it very easy for tourists like me to get a tour and have a reliable means of transportation to historical places and points of interest, without taking a taxing.
Chileans do parks well. This is no exception. Well maintained, lots of grass and seating. Great for a stroll or to take the kids. Always felt safe. Even a small restaurant/bar area in the middle with 3-4 restaurants. It is immediately next to Paque Arauco Mall (a great high-end mall with the works).
Felt very safe, and spent some time there during spring and fall seasons, and both were very pleasant. Everyone I met was very nice and helpful.
Located in a good neighborhood, this park is great if you want to expend time with your family, especially the little ones. There is plenty of room for them to run around, play sports, walk your dog and also a couple of playgrounds where they can have lots of fun.You will find a very nice garden too and in the middle there are restaurants and other attractions to visit with you children. There is a shopping center across the street too.It is a great place to expend the day!
Great to go for shopping and you have Restaurants and Coffee Shops just outside for after your successful shopping day.
Filled up with sport spaces, such as tennis courts, skating area (and a skate school), bicycle trail, open lawn sports and others. The footbridge to the other side of the Costanera Road is a piece of art, specially with the Andes as a background. It has also astonishing landscaping with fountains and wattles. Besides, it is close to the Parque Arauco Mall.
This is a very nicely laid out inside/outside mall with over 300 shops and boutiques from high fashion designer to home furnishings to digital paradises, etc. etc. If you have a yen to feel that you are in the USA, spend an afternoon here. Conspicuous consumption at it's best!
This park is a great place to relax and lay down on the grass. There is even a small aviary and there are cafés and restaurants inside if you wish to have a snack or a drink.
plenty of shopping and restaurants, night life as well, in a very good location in the center of santiago
My wife and I walked thru the park three times during our stay in SCL. It is very clean and I felt quite safe the entire time.We are dinner at the mall next to the park one night, and found it to be upscale and nice.
Largest in Latin America with branded products.Nice trendy restaurants and friendly staff.Very well maintained and people friendly
Many stores, nice anchors, theaters, lots of restaurants. Wish there were a few authentic or local food options, most were US chains.Lots of stores including design and home stores.
Away from the center, higher up, seemingly away too from the smog of downtown. Pleasant, spacious. Again, as in the Bicentenario (although less-so) trees are not yet that huge, Still, a good place for a stroll.
During our visit to Santiago, we stayed at the Santiago Marriott in the newer los Condes area of Santiago, east of the old town. It is a beautiful up-and-coming part of the city full of tree-lined streets and striking tall modern buildings. Its central feature is a long stretch of greenspace known as Parque Araucano. This is one of the most lovely inviting urban parks we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy anywhere. It must be 2-3 kilometers long from east to west, and perhaps half a kilometer wide full of broad, well-maintained reach of turf, and thousands of verdant trees offering welcome shade over the hard-packed sand paths for strollers like us, joggers and dog walkers. It features immaculate play fields, fountains, a small aviary, and a skateboard park. There is also a sparkling set of buildings, apparently a sort of science center for kids which we did not enter, although we were attracted by the surprising presence of the forward part of a LAN airliner protruding from one of the buildings. The park is a perfect centerpiece and binding element for the entire modern neighborhood of high-rise offices and apartments, and one which would certainly attract us to live and work in the area if we were lucky to have this in our own country. Well done Santiago!
