I had extra time on my hands today in Plovdiv and after seeing this house from the outside yesterday when all the museums are closed (Monday) and reading the reviews I decided to walk back and take a visit. Entrance is 3bgn and a lovely stroll through each room of the house was a delightful way to spend about 40 mins. Most of the exhibits had English subs titles and the focus was of the rich social history of Plovdiv in the 19th century.
To touch the spirit of people who lived centuries ago is chalinging.Do you know their lifestyle, culture, everything that you see in this museum.
One of the major museums in Plovdiv. Shows the history of the town and is near the well known gate Hisar Kapia. There are nice pubs in the area.
Situated in the Old town of Plovdiv on picturesque cobbled street, this is a place that must be visited by people, who want to get familiar with the history of the town.
Wish I had more time there! The display were so need and informative! This was where I learnt Bulgaria had such a glorious history!
Till now i`m visiting two times Plovdiv.Unfortunately does not work at the scheduled time. The employees should be replaced with more responsible and conscientious people.
Learnt a lot about this fascinating ancient city - once capital of Thracia. They even grew rice here !
