St Anton is a great intermediate ski resort with some of the best après ski. Other ski resorts in the area are also easy to get to.. St Anton village is very picturesque with a wide range of restaurants and bars. The people both on and off the slope are both friendly and helpful. To come to this reort you need to be a fairly good skier - a marked blue run can quickly turn into a difficult red or black so be careful. One of the best lunch venues is Heustsdl which is also good for après ski - the service and food quality is excellent. Other après ski venues include the mooserwirt, krazy kanguruh and the Tap.

Slightly small ski area but enough to get you through. Apres is awesome, all the bars and restaurants are like real places with normal toilets and good furnishing. No wooden rubbish like the Alps.

Good slopes of mostly difficult character, but also fine intermediate, easier slopes. A varied offer of restaurants. Possiblity to ski also Lech/Zurs and Warth/Schrøcken.

Great place for a ski holiday, however I wouldn't recommend it for learners and timid intermediates as the terrain is very challenging.

Great piste's and great après ski are the perfect combination to a frat skiing week in St Anton, stop of don the way down the mountain at the Moose and then once showered and refreshed , hit the bars and restaurants , great food and beer . Beautiful place , expensive but you get what you pay for

Sankt Anton is definitely on of the best ski resorts in Austria. Huge ski area, lots of off piste possibilities, first class après ski and lots of good restaurantsWhat more can you wish?

great skiing, range of pistes and outstanding off pisterefreshingly different to French Alpine resorts - much prettieralso huge ski area - the Stuben area is particularly good and also quieter. It is woth hiring a car because although you can use the lift pass for Lech / Zurs / Warth as well you cannot ski there and have to drive.

I liked the relaxed atmosphere, live music in many restaurants and all kinds of slopes to ski. Soile definitely to come back next year.

This is our favourite resort of all in Europe. Great runs both easy and challenging. Fab night life and beautiful location. Gorgeous shops and other things to do like the most fab toboggan run.

A lovely town, nice restaurant, friendly people, good nightlife and excellent slopes! Couldn't recommend it more as a skiing destination in Winter or hiking/walking in Summer. Get out on the slopes early as by 2pm even 1 there's quite a few moguls which can be fun but not everybody's cup of tea. The day finishes early enough - the lift start shutting down around 4 but if you're there since wish it's long enough. Loads of lovely eating spots dotted along the slopes which are generally good value for money and most have wifi. Perhaps no ideal for total beginners as there's no green sloes but the blue and red aren't too bad for the most part. Would recommend for sure for a friends trip as the apres ski is good craic!

This place is all about great skiing choices for intermediate lovers (although beginners are well catered for too) and then going party mad from about 3.30 onwards. Lot's of restaurant and bar choices either on the slopes or in town if you don't want to end up stuck on the mountain incapable of skiing due to drink, and many do! Lift system is efficient and well linked and you can find quiet slopes even in the busiest of times. You can travel by train easily from Innsbruck or Zurich Airport directly into the centre of town where plenty hotels are within a short walk. It's a great place for a long weekend and the snow is normally good since it's a high resort. Avoid staying too far out of the central area unless you want a quiet life or ski in / out. One reservation, this resort needs good weather, it's not a place to come if the cloud / storm arrives since most skiing is above the tree line so not great when there are white-out conditions, if it's sunny, it's the best.

I'll be brief with the comments: Pro's: good apres ski (mooserwirts, kangeroo), good bars and other entertainment. Rendlbahn (opposite of sankt anton) is a great ski area. Also in the early morning take track 14-17 and maybe the tracks at stuben but the lifts there are kinda long and old. Off piste is everywhere but gone fast due crowd.Cons: sankt anton ski area is terrible. Bad pistes, bad lift connections and not a single wide piste. Overcrowded. Food, we all got a virus from food on the slopes. Prices of everything are enormous. We had a good time but i ve had better area's. Scenery is stunning tho. Watch your belongings, we went with 15 friends and half of us got their gear robbed!

I have never done any skiing outside of the Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia area. I got to St. Anton for the very first time and have to admit that I was overwhelmed and a bit nervous looking at the Tirol Alps. I manned up though and rode the Rendle lift right up to the top and off I went. To date in my 5 years of skiing this has been the best experience. It was tough for me the first day but I was determined to do better so the 2nd day I redid the same trails/piste over again to ensure that I did better and once done I went across town to St. Cristoph and road the lift up and did some more skiing. By the time I came down the mountain to the town I had no strength left in my legs but I was happy.

Great slopes, great nightlife - best alps adventure to date. Small villagey feel with varied bars and nightlife to suit most tastes.

Quaint, original Austrian mountain town with lots of character A good lift system and no doubt just as good in the summer.
