edole castle

Very pleasant time looking around this lovely castle. There was hardly anyone else there when we went so very easy to enjoy the visit. Someone tells you a little bit about the place and points you in the right direction to start your tour. You can use furniture even for photos etc which is unusual. If you are reasonably fit, a climb of the steps up into the tower is well worth the energy for the view of the castle and surrounding area. I'm sure if required you can probably get a guided tour. Legend has it, there were 2 brothers living at this castle, and they both fell in love with the same woman. One of them killed the other one to have the woman, and a blood stain appeared on the wall which would never go away. You can arrange weddings etc here too.......enjoy

Edoles Castle is full of mystery and if you once decided to feel the presence of " something out of this world" its the right place to go. You can spend the night in daughter of Dundaga landlord - Sibylla room which became as ghost these days. Very warm welcoming from castle staff.

Замок Эдоле производит большое впечатление. В нем очень уютно, много интересных вещей. И да, этот замок состоит в реестре мировых замков с реально существующими привидениями. Он находится в частном немецком владении. Восстановлен, в хорошем состоянии. Внутри интерьеры, конечно же, не сохранились, но хозяин собрал очень неплохую коллекцию мебели, фарфора, предметов интерьера и создал прекрасную атмосферу внутри замка. Служительница провела нам интересную экскурсию на русском языке. Можно подняться на башню, с которой открывается красивый вид на округу. Вокруг замка красивый парк.
