Right in the middle of the cobbled, winding lanes, is this stone structure, which, when we visited (in Nov'14) had no water, so cannot comment on the functionality or the beauty of the "fountain". But the architecture of this circular relic is defntly pretty and must have been grand in its hey days. A tiny peep-hole on the lone door shows stone carvings of faces, a few like African tribal masks. If in the old town, or on the way to any other attraction, can stop by a min, otherwise, can skip it to reach the other worthwhile attractions to save time, coz sadly, they all close by 16:00

it is really nice coming across these little interesting features of towns on your travels, not the most magnificent of attractions but something nice to see in the passing

There was no water in fountain so it is hard to judge it. The Stone part was huge but not so pretty.

Set in the middle of an intersection is this old stone fountain. It was actually a large round building in the middle of the road with a couple of dragon headed taps. Inside we could see through a window a collection of busts which we assumed were from restoration works of surrounding buildings

In the middle of Rejskova Square stands a small gothic water fountain. It was built in 1495 by Matyas Rejsekthe who also built large parts of St Barbara's Cathedral. During the silver mining days, water was in short supply so it had to be directed into town from a nearby spring over. The spring over 4km away, still supplies drinkable water through a series of wooden pipes.

Interesting stone fountain in middle of this beautiful town . Note the medieval number 4 which is half an 8 on the date stamp.

it is one of these delightful cameo moments you get when travelling, a lovely ornate and very old fountain/water storage place,a little gem.

Great fountain but it is i the middle of two cross streets. Right in the middle of the town. There is a little window and you have to look in but i iwll leave what is inside a mystery to see for yourself. I willl tell you there is no water. ;)

Pretty little gothic gem. If you're nearby, have a gander, if not, you'll see plenty of things like it elsewhere. Takes about 2 minutes to take it all in.

Late Gothic stony fountain was built in 1493 by famous architect of Powder Gate in Prague. Water to the fountain was carried using a wooden tubes from a well 4 km away - giant project

In the Central European context, the fountain was a unique specimen of Late Gothic urban architecture, most likely created in 1495 by the builder Briccius Gauske of Wroclaw. Excellent location near St. Barbara's Cathedral.

The stone fountain in Kutna Hora dates back to the Middle Ages when it was the only source of water in the town. Water flowed downhill from springs 5 kilometers to the east. Today you can see the interior of the fountain through a window on the east side. Often there are exhibits of art inside. The are 2 outlets on the outside where you can still get fresh water from the springs. The fountain's location is not between the main square and St. Barbara's Cathedral, so it is about 10 minutes out of your way. However, it is still worth about 15 minutes to examine its exterior.

I stumbled across this in a side street in the town and was amazed by the fountain. It really takes over the square and is well worth visiting to take a photograph.
