This is a fundemental part of the Old Town with restaurants and shops and they were just dismantling and ice rink which had been used during the whole of February. Totally rebuilt afetr the war its impressive to say the least

Like stepping back in time. Surrounded by carriages, balloon vendors, musicians, and interesting characters all round. Just have a seat and people watch.

The history and sense of Polish pride is on display in Old Town. Well worth an hour or two of walking and many options for a 5 star meal or a quick bite.

2nd time in Warsaw and was happy to take another stroll past the old square. Was busier this time around and had a few things going on with regards to some small stalls and some artwork being displayed. We also witnessed three young musicians playing music in the far edge of the square (two of them on accordions and one on violin) and they had quite a group of people watching them. We were surprised by their level of talent and it wasn't any wonder that most people stood for a while to watch them. It all added up to a pleasant mood in the square.

Flattened by the german army in 1944 ,this square has been rebuilt to it's former glory, and what a wonderful job they have done with it.Superb building's,all looking fantastic, great bar's,restaurant's and gift shop's,make this a major tourist hub,and it get's very very busy.If you enjoy taking photograghs this is the main area ,at night the square look's magical. We got here after sunset and it looked truly beautiful, took some great shot's on the camera and the phone.Any trip to Warsaw would not be complete without a trip to this fantastic square.

It's a nice place to see and enjoy the local music and dance when on the Sunday the local Polish wear the traditional clothes with the music band perform in the old market square. If you like the good view then goes to the tower near by then you can see the whole amazing view. Don'f forget going to the castle see the museum collections.

The Old Town Square is beautiful to walk around like much of Old Town. The buildings have been rebuilt from the rubble of occupation in image of pre-war memories and you will find yourself believing that you have uncovered 1930's Poland thanks to the brightly coloured facades and narrow cobbled streets that lead into the large open square. When we visited Warsaw in March-April - despite the very reasonable weather - we didn't find too much going on here. The streets of Norwy Swiat seemed a bit livelier for a night out.

We stumbled on this accidentally but it's beautiful and well worth a visit. There are organised beggars in the area that can be slightly intimidating but it's safe.

The restored buildings and the traditional Polish restaurants make this worth visiting. The tacky gift shops, one after another is tiresome and they all carry the same things.

The old town is quite nice to stroll around. Nice restaurants and shops. This square is easy to find and you can easily pass some time watching people pass by or artists performing in the square. We were in February and even in the winter there was artists.

The square has been completely rebuilt from archive footage and has been replicated very sympathetically and is the focal point of Warsaw. From this point we picked up a free walking tour which was excellent and gave a lot of information about the history of Warsaw.

Some reviewers deride the Old Town Market Square as being a 'fake' because the entire Old Town was totally rebuilt after it was razed to the ground. To me, I see the area's amazing reconstruction as a tribute to the Poles' undaunting spirit in the face of such desecration brought about by the Nazis. What a lovely area to wander a bit, people watch and take some time to just sit and admire the lovingly restored buildings.

The woman was rude and unhelpful, she made it obvious she didn't want to serve us. She virtually dismissed us because we were unsure of what size skates to get the kids.
