Visiting this historical place was fascinating. It was very interesting, emotional and haunting. Sarah our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept us interested with what she was saying and showing us. Well worth a visit.

The tour was well set out and informative. Roy, our tour guide, was very good and was able to answer any questions. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Belfast.

Great experience. Went on the visit with a group of men. The guide was excellent, explaining the history of the gaol in great detail, and making it interesting with a bit of Belfast humor. Altogether a worthwhile day out. Recommend to anyone local and visiting Belfast.

If you only have time to do one thing in Belfast, do this. This is a guided tour and our guide Eoghan had me and my partner captivated from start to finish, I really can't recommend it highly enough. I would also reoommend that you wrap up warm. The tunnel and C Wing were very cold.

Take a step back in time and visit this historic goal. Parking facilities are excellent and the tour itself leaves you imagining what life was like for those unfortunate enough to spend part of their lives there. If you ever wondered where the word hangover came from all will be explained. Be certain not to miss the opportunity to walk through the tunnel linking the jail with the courthouse across the road. What a pity that building has not been developed as a tourist attraction.

We didn't know about this until we saw a leaflet in our hotel, and it was one of the best things we did in Belfast. Very eerie in places but really fascinating, highly recommended but not for anyone who is claustrophobic, as you visit the tunnel to the courts across the road.

Great night out at Halloween. Great to see the gaol as a tourist attraction. Well worth a visit for all the family. Would like to see some special offers available.

Tours had too many people on them but guides were well informed with interesting stories to tell.Didn't like the cafe. The cakes were horrible. Need a much better selection

Very interesting tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and kept the momentum going. This can be difficult when speaking about historical facts, especially something as dark as prison history. It was very cold!

Had a great tour here, sadly cut short by work commitments. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and full of interesting insights into life in the gaol. Hope I get a chance for a full visit in future!

Very interesting tour, guide provided a lot of information!There's also many opportunities for photos, paranormal tour is also worth a try! Wear sensible shoes and clothing as there are many stairs and it can be cold

Be prepared for a lot of walking. There are steps and stairs to go up and down so this is not a tour for someone who has walking difficulties. There are no places to sit down at points in the tour. It is interesting though. The tour guides know their social history. That is interesting. The place is cold too so wrap up warm if visiting in winter. Seeing the gallows made people think. This place was clearly not the "holiday camp" people assume modern jails are. I think school trips would find the tour educational.

Visited the prison today, our tour guide Brian was excellent and told us so much history, it brought the tour alive. Thoroughly recommend a visit
