Great, sandy beach for long seaside walks. Well maintained. There's a promenade for those who don't like getting sand between their toes, a kiosk for hot and cold drinks etc., and a public toilet.

Freezing cold wind and even a snow shower didn't dampen our spirits for a long walk along the beautiful beach. Very clean sand and great views.

It was february so wind blasting across.would be different in summer. the main purpose is golfing. Lovely sandy beaches very near by

Troon beach has huge potential but I'm afraid to say was littered with every type of rubbish you can imagine. Maybe the council keep it clean over the summer??? Beaches abroad are cleaned nightly. Maybe weekly wouldn't be too much to ask??

Troon beach is right next to the sea which is very handy. It's also next to the promenade so the overall combination makes sense.

The sandy bay stretches for some distance. On our visit, the sand/beach area was unfortunatly covered with driftwood, storm leftovers and looked a bit grubby. I guess the local authority will carry out a beach spring clean ( unless the current asteritity cut backs prevents). Car parking on grass areas which can have standing water and be muddy after a period of wet weather. Flat walking and some very nice views. A short walk back into the town centre for some food nd drinks. In tge summer, car ferries leave here for Northern Island. Lots of hotels and guest houses but no major hotel brand name. The Troon Golf Hotel and the Piersland woukd be good choices.

Fantastic beach and surroundings lovely for a nice walk into Troon from the Marine Hotel about a mile walk into the center , Just nice especially on a nice day ,

one of the better beaches down the Clyde coast - and only 5 mins from Troon station with frequent fast trains, 30 mins from Glesca. carry on round the prom (nice old houses) to the peculiar headland (great viewpoint for Arran) and find The Wee Hurrie - best chippie ever - or McCallum's Oyster Bar (see review) by the harbour

Great place to have a walk and blow the cobwebs away. I would recommend a visit in summer as the beach is cleaner but it's great at all times of the year.

Love a walk on Troon beach. Nice clean area.Plenty of shops etc nearby. Good day out.A favourite spot.

Great for kite flying as it is very windy on occasions, magnificent sands and dogs are not allowed during the summer months which helps to keep it clean

beautiful clean sands, lots of people enjoying the beach, lovely dunes. It was a winter's day and the beach was full of people of all ages just enjoying the walk and the sea air. Its also near the town centre - handy for a coffee

This beach is unspoilt and really beautiful whatever the weather. It is always changing and you can see Arran with snow in Winter and don't know yet in Summer but will certainly reviisit.

When the tide is out this is a huge expanse of beach, great for the wee one to build sand castles etc. further down the beach gives way to sand dunes which a great for waking and playing hide and seek with little people :0)
