Played the PGA Centenary Course, lucky yo get out with the weather. Starter was brilliant, so pleasant and attentive, really good personal touch. The Lady Captain was passing and had a great chat, both lovely people. The course was in super condition and we relived the Ryder Cup on our round.....

Our Scotland Golf Tour ended with a round at the spectacular PGA course just weeks prior to the Ryder cup.The course was in absolutely amazing condition, as one would expect from Jack Nicklaus design. The roughs were thick in preparation for the tournament, so really tough and unforgiving. The whole experience with all the stands and orgainisation was indeed a privilege and the atmosphere of anticipation was tangable. A great advert for Scotland although not the Links feeling you come to expect from this country.

Gleneagles is often wet so you do need to bring clothing for 4 seasons in one day, even in summer. It is expensive, but all 3 courses are great to play. The PGA, host course of the Ryder Cup is worth playing for that very reason. It's my least favourite as it's too long for me - too many par 4s that feel like par 5s - and you really need a buggy due to long distances from green to tee.The King's is a real treat with tricky holes and beautiful views. A couple of real testing par 4s but most of the course is manageable for someone with my handicap. The Queen's is my favourite. Short enough to be achievable. Tricky enough to make me think about every shot.Catering at the Dormy house is expensive but high quality. There is a halfway house which serves both the King's and Queen's with hot food and drinks and allows ordering by phone from the previous hole. The PGA has a van at the 10th which supplies a limited amount of drinks and snacks.

The title says it all...but the Kings and Queens are must play courses all immaculately presented with their own challenges

What is to dislike? Excellent golf courses and brilliant staff who make you feel welcome plus a fabulous Dormy House at the 19th hole.

The grounds are amazing and the service was superb. Loved the open fire in the middle of the restaurant area.

Played queens course this week, after a lot of rain day before all courses were subject to inspection at 1000. Due to pga being shut only course open was queens which due to amount of standing water was questionable whether it should be. Greens were little better than a municipal course and due to back log of players meant people were having long waits on the tee. Same price was charged if playing queens or pga. These courses are poles apart. Look at the weather forecast and ring to see if open before setting off, good course but not worth the money when could play better course for dame money

The Ryder Cup experience was the best I have ever had at a mass sports event. The efficiency, professionalism and friendliness of the support staff could not have been better.

The whole place is classy as you drive through the main gates and staff are helpful and friendly. The golf staff were very welcoming and made you feel comfortable.

I had the privilege of playing the PGA Centenary Course on the Tuesday just after the Ryder Cup and I have to say that it was absolutely awesome. Many congratulations to all the green staff at Gleneagles for preparing such a wonderful golf course - a real boost for Scotland as well I would imagine?

it was for the Ryder Cup and the organisation for the 50k per day was perfect. Having played the Wee course for years the PGA was at its best as was the Hotel. Ryder Cup Europe can make the tented village twice the size in four years and it will still be full.Great venue, great facilities.....

Amazing time for the final day of the Ryder Cup. Brilliantly organized and a great spectacle. Easy to get to and the design made viewing very enjoyable.

Beautiful course with breath taking views. Very busy due to it being the Ryder Cup but an amazing atmosphere. Hearing the support from the crowd was truly memorable. Definitely appreciated by our American and European guests. Showing views of Scotland at its best. If you are in the area, even if you are not into golf it is still worth a visit.

Drove thru Gleneagles golf club a week before the Ryder Cup, so traffic and folks milling about made the entry difficult, but the views were well worth it. Shopped for golf hats, took so e photos then ate lunch in their bar and grill. Very friendly staff, sat at a window on the green and watched the golfing in the Scotland mist. Food was delicious, beautifully prepared and not too expensive. A nice jump off the road!
