This was our first real stop on our Route 66 tour and it set the mood for the trip, with an old petrol pump, restored workshop, which reminded me of some of the garages in the UK when I was a child, and an early 1950s caravan. While we were there, two beautiful restored cars, which had been at a rally elsewhere came in, which was an added bonus. Well worth a quick stop

This is a must stop if your plan is to travel back in time and catch a glimpse of what the original Route 66 was like! Everything in this place is so charming! And the lady who runs it is as charming as the building itself!

This is a breath taking experience, especially for those of us FANS of Historic Route 66 !! We've been here many times, & enjoy coming back often. The station is SO REAL that one can smell the oil changes, tires repaired, fan belts replaced, & walk the oiled wood floor of the office & customer area. We always buy something; sweatshirts, records, pins, etc., to enjoy & help support the preservation projects in this area. The last two times we've been here, we've met many Chineese tourists visiting Route 66, & loving this restored "gas station." DON'T miss the 1950's camper trailer, beside the building. This "treasure" is a "jewell !!!

A must see. It is really unique. It makes you wonder how traveling along the historic Route 66 must have been back in the day. The shop is also lovely. A great photo opportunity.

A beautifully renovated roadside filling station which makes a lovely brief stop as a photo opportunity...and everyone stops. Just a thought, maybe buy something from the shop...we didn’t and as we drove away we thought how frustrating it must be for the owner to have done such a fine renovation that makes no money!

Percorrendo la Route 66 con l'intenzione di vedere e conoscere le tante attrazioni di cui è piena questa famosa strada mi sono imbattuto nella Stazione di Servizio di Odell, ben tenuta, con targhe e cartelli commemorativi, probabilmente funzionante. La cosa che più mi ha colpito è stata l'estrema attenzione (che già peraltro conoscevo negli Americani) al mantenimento ed al ricordo ed alla cura con cui vengono gestite queste attrazioni. C'è chi sostiene che sia determinato dal fatto che non c'è grande storia mentre io sono convinto che dipenda dal fatto che tengono molto alle tradizioni e rispettano il passato.

Un des premier site de la 66 qui vous met un pied dans l'histoire et le rêve. On regrette cependant que ce soit "trop" refait à neuf, "trop" propre et un peu "trop" attrape touriste....
