This was a very beautiful building... Very nice neighborhood! I could see us moving here when we retire. I wish I was the Governor.

We drove by it, was not much to see. However, I am one for not wasting the taxpayers money on a house. The area is residential, just a 2-minute run from the former mint museum.

The Governor's Mansion is great. It is classic architecture and they always do a great job of decorating during different holiday seasons. It is in the older west part of town. A must drive by.

It's a joy to drive or walk by and enjoy the tasteful decorations they put up for each holiday season. I apologize to the Governor's family here for my dog marking the property, we walked there so much he 'marked' the trees as his home.

I'll have to applaud the governor of Nevada for being so approachable and living in a more or less normal house. Yes, its mansion looking like in a southern way all white with columns. He is home for Halloween passing out candy and there is not an army of security to guard the place like California or other states. There are tours of the inside for special occasions and events. Pretty nice to have a real down home governor.

No public tours are available for the mansion, but you can drive by and gawk as much as you like. It's on a quiet little side street in a residential neighborhood. I was surprised by how large and ornate it was, compared to the capitol building we had just seen.

We stumbled upon the Governor's Mansion while driving through downtown. Was surprised that it is located in residential neighborhood. I expected a much larger residence, in a more secure, private area.

We came across the Governor's Mansion while doing a drive around the historic district. We knew the interior was closed to the public and so we just admired it from the car. My wife loved the old mansion across the street also.

We drove by the Nevada Governor's Mansion in Carson City. The home is amazing beautiful; no tours but still amazing to see.

I was invited to the Governor's Mansion in June for Music in the Garden, the Carson City Symphony and the Carson Chamber Singers, were performing and it was a delightful experience, beautiful gardens and music was relaxing. Take part in this June Event its worth your time. Guest Musicians are invited to play along with the Symphony. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, lots of water, no concession stands.

The stories and history is only part of the experience; to see and feel the personal side of the current governor makes this visit very special. I lived in the area for over 20 years and this was the first time I had been inside the house it's self. If you have the opportunity, take the tour.

I was able to park on the street next to the mansion. I captured a few photographs while standing right in front of the building. Everything was really laid back. Security personnel smiled and waived to me. My only access was a view of the exterior of the building, hence the three star rating.

no tours except on Nevada Day, so it is outside only, but that is still nice, as it is a pretty and historic building in a nice neighborhood, and very easy to get to

Perhaps it's Sunday, thus I couldn't find anyone around the building. Not even security. I was only managed to snap some photos outside, nonetheless, the building is a piece of art itself.

Even though you have to wait in line, The governor is taking photos with your kids and giving them candy. The Mansion is decked out with lights all over and decorations. They have performers. All the houses around the Mansion are decorated with lots of lights and fun stuff.
