Woods Creek Cafe was my brother and mine's go-to for breakfast during our 4th of July extended weekend stay in Jamestown. Incredible food and even better service in a family friendly atmosphere. The breakfast menu has everything you could possibly want to choose from for a real American breakfast. My brother loved the samplers with their mix and match options while I feel in love with the stuffed sour dough French toast. If you're traveling in the Motherlode, then this is THE PLACE to stop for breakfast.

The decor is all about cows -- they are everywhere and make for an interesting dining attraction. The staff are all super friendly and the food is generous and has many options of breakfast/lunch items (served until closing at 2 p.m.)

good value breakfast, very close to hotel. Ate pancakes, muffins, and some good fresh brewed coffee.

I just got back from the gold country with my two sons 14 and 8. I booked a trip with gold Prospecting Adventures. I almost canceled because of a bad review I read. DON'T BELIEVE IT! We had a great time and came back for a second full day. The area was very nice and easy to get to. I thought it was going to be very picked over. In the first 15 minutes we found gold in our pans, after 2 hours we had a good collection of beautiful gold flakes. Some men who had been working downstream from us pulled out a nugget larger than a Pea. Several amateur prospectors were paying to use the same area of the creek on a day rate (this is a prime spot). The next day we went back to the same spot where the nugget was found and started digging. We hit lots of gold, 1.2 grams (no nuggets). This will not make you rich or even come close to paying for the trip. the experience of digging elbow to elbow for gold in a beautiful stream with two very enthusiastic sons for two days "priceless"."

We just bought a vacation home in Jamestown and love Wood's Creek. My kids always ask "when are we going to Wood's Creek"Denise is great! And the rest of the staff is always friendly. I have never had a bad meal and love the French Dip and the Carne Asada taco salad. My kids always order off the breakfast menu and love it. Portions are great (I can never finish all my food). Sometimes there is a short wait...but well worth it!!

Whenever I travel to the Mother Lode I always try and stop for breakfast at Wood's Creek. Breakfast is their specialty and they do it well. Try the bread breakfast bowl; its a bread bowl filled with omelet ingredients and covered with breakfast gravy. The service is always good. The only drawbacks are the long lines sometimes to get a table and the fact that they close at 2pm.
