Played Yocha Dehe the day before, very nice, sanitary, perfect condition, long, challenging. Then we played here. Very nice course, not the superb conditions of a resort course but WAY more fun. Played with the same guys but were not pushed. Room ahead, room behind. Did I mention FUN? There was still sand, water and trees—all the things I like to hit to make me laugh, but they were challenging instead of oppressive. I only shot 4 strokes better (the point is this course is still a challenge) but I my fun meter was pegged the whole time. You do need a cart as it is mostly a links course and some of the tee boxes are a LONG way from the last green. Now, I don't want to spoil it for you, but there is a hole that makes the whole round worth it. You will know it when you get there, and I am not going to spoil it for everybody by telling you about it in advance. If you really MUST know write me a message and I will explain. How good was this course? I can't think of one I liked better. I've played better courses, but not one did I like better.Complaints? One, the layout of the holes is not the card. Made a couple of shots I would have hit differently had I known. If you don't know about it already, use Golf18network to book your round. Cheaper, I always try to use it. This course is a "Semi-Private, public welcome" course. It is a nice course, the greens are well maintained as are the fairways. That said, it is not up to the level of a resort course. The fairways are a tad bumpy, but I have paid a lot more for a lot less. If you play it I urge you to write a review as this place wasn't even on Tripadvisor, I had to add it. Worth the trip from the Bay Area to go play!
