The Lesher Center is a great group of performance areas -- and it happens to be the best indoor arts center in the county. Pretty much every seat in all the theaters is a good seat, and the relaxed atmosphere combined with what appears to be a well managed and well maintained structure makes it easy to focus on the arts for the evening rather than the environment.

It's wonderful that Walnut Creek has this nice theater. There are music concerts, plays, ballet and other school activities. It has a gallery in the first floor. This theater elevates the category of the city.

Attended a performance of Bye Bye Birdie, the theatre is intimate with good sight lines and sound. When we first arrived there was some confusion as to which theatre we were supposed to go to and we were directed to the incorrect theatre. Parking easy, the garage next door is very inexpensive. Many restaurants nearby for pre or post performance dining.

Love that we can have live theatre in Walnut Creek. Productions are excellent and access a breeze.. Fabulous

My partner and I saw a contemporary jazz show at this theater and it was really lovely. The place has fantastic acoustics. The Lesher Center is known throughout the area as a place to take in a fun, fabulous show at regional theater prices. They have so many different events here every week, it is worth a visit!

3 theatres occupy this building and the two smaller ones have no bad seats. The companies presenting here have all presented great shows. We are subscribers and attend at least 6-7 shows a year.

Very entertaining and well done. A feel-good play. Songs were from "our era" so we knew all the words.

Was impressed w/ the gallery space & selection of pieces in the current exhibit (Skull Show, Summer 2014). Admission was $5. I will keep an eye on their website to see what other events are coming up- whether musical or fine art!

We spend lots of time at the Lesher Center for the Arts in that there are not only three theaters that we attend, but the Bedford Gallery on the first floor has five or six new shows each year, all of which are very well curated and many of which have a number of interesting exhibits.

Take advantage of what is in your city.Took my 7 year old to see the skull themed art show, and he loved it. He was thrilled to see pieces from decades ago, and what you can do with different materials. He now wants to go back to the gallery the day they are having a family class making clay skulls. fantastic!

The people of Contra Costa showed an exceptional commitment to the arts by building this facility. I've seen dozens of Symphonies, Operas, Broadway Shows, and every kind of upscale entertainment imaginable here, and you just can't lose. The lighting, the sound, the staging, the orchestra, the conductors, the ticketing and floor attendants — it's all quite above average. The building itself is really of the quality only seen at facilities like The San Francisco Ballet or rooms of that caliber. Everyone from the successive mayors of Walnut Creek, the countless musical, dramatic, fund-raising, logistics and bureaucratic volunteers — they have all pitched in to not only put Walnut Creek on the map, but to make it an outsized place for the arts. Very few cities with a population of 65,000 have anything like this. Often one goes to a a town of hundreds of thousands and still cannot find a facility this modern, this inspired, this comfortable and reasonably-price. I encourage everyone, for the sake of their own enjoyment, and for the sake of world class arts in the suburbs, to attend, support, donate to, and otherwise cheer on this ongoing, monumental and heroic effort by countless generous people.

We are so lucky to live in Walnut Creek and have a very nice performing arts center. There is always a variety of shows in the three theatres and a rotating art collection. Parking is next door. Lots of restaurants in the area.

Walnut Creek, Ca has so much to offer for a small town, with a variety of entertainment that must be experienced ~ anything playing at the Lesher Center is a fun experience. The variety offered is amazing for the area, the crowd never fails to be enthuse about every performance. Also check out there art gallery ~ it is always interesting and has very wonderful exhibits to share.

The Lesher Center has 3 performance venues under one roof and hosts multiple productions and programs throughout the year from musicals to dramas to concerts and speakers including a recently established summer jazz series. The performance caliber is quite high, parking is readily available, area restaurants are numerous and the production staff is very professional. This center is a real jewel supporting the San Francisco East Bay and it works hard to maintain contact and relevance to its community. Give yourself a treat and attend an event there.

Lesher Center for the Arts has all kinds of performances, such as, theater, symphonies and many more. We saw Guys and Dolls in their large theater. All seats were good, we had seats in O row left with only 1 row behind us. The view of the stage was good as was the play. The Center is in downtown Walnut Creek with lots of restaurants to go to before you go to the theater. There is parking next door to the Lesher Center. I paid $2.50 but there was a sign that said $5.00, I must of gotten in before 6 pm. There is also an art exhibit in the Lesher Center which is free with your ticket but to me that was too much. There are nice chairs to sit in, if you can get one before the performance. It was our first time at the Center but won't be the last. Bathrooms not the best.
