We often walk our dog in this lovely park, which is big enough so it doesn't have to be the same walk every time. Soccer, baseball and roller hockey fields, horse trails, duck pond, observatory, picnic areas, playground, small climbing wall, and more. And despite all the activity, bald eagles fledged chicks atop the tower last year. It was fun to watch their development from afar.

We went here at least 5 times during the week on Bainbridge Island. Nice play area for young children and lot of space to walk around. A really pleasant and easily accessible park

Best place to walk, or run, take the Family for a picnic or just hang out!! Go everyday to walk the trail, 1.5 approximately, love to pass the community gardens and see what is growing and watch the kids playing sports. It is a great park!!

nice park just wish they had a few more restrooms, nice duck pond and beautiful roses buzzing with bees

This was a nice park with a ball diamond and other recreational facilities. It is clearly meant for residents. Tourists would find little to do here.

By far our favorite park to frequent. Great path encompassing the entire park for jogging, walking the dog or enjoying with a friend or partner. Soccer fields, tennis courts, playground for the kids, roller hockey field, duck pond, picnic tables and plenty of park space. We love to take the dog for his walks here, it is set away with plenty of parking, bathrooms and a nice trail to enjoy. We've been here in fall and winter and love it. So much to do and a great way to get outdoors and enjoy even in cooler temperatures.

Regardless of the season, this is a great park for running or walking. The duck ponds on the north end remind me of European parks I've visited - especially beautiful in the Spring or Summer. For runners, the paths are well marked & maintained. There's plenty of parking. My wife & I frequently jog here.

This is a favorite of locals year around. It has a great level walking trail, large soccer and baseball fields. The level 1.5 mile trail is great for children to ride bikes without going on streeets. A wonderful kids playground, an indoor gym for toddlers, and a large pond to watch waterfowl. A separate horse trail and large expanses for walking dogs. This is a unique swords into plowshares facility, formerly an Army Nike Missile base turned into a community peaceful park. There are ample picnic areas for large or small groups.

This is a huge park located in the center of Bainbridge Island and operated by the Bainbridge Island Park District. There is a jogging track around the park and a children's play area. There are also a multitude of sport's fields used by youth and adult teams (soccer, baseball, softball and roller hockey, etc). The park is really beautiful and visited by locals every day. It's a great park just to walk around and enjoy the scenery. It also has some historical significance as the military had a listening post set up inside the park to crack Japanese codes during World War II.

If you have kids who need to burn off energy, this is the place to take them. This is the best structure I've seen, which really reflects the local northwest heritage and culture and the community's value of its children. Come and enjoy!! there's a great walking/jogging trail for adults and kids, too.

Battlepoint is a big (ish) park on Bainbridge (about 9 ha). There is an even trail that runs around the perimeter; easy going on foot or bike and can be done in wheelchair. The full path is about 1.5 - 2 miles long. Nice for a walk on a sunny day, but nothing special. The park counts many sprots facilities (baseball mounds, 2 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, soccer fields) as well as an extensive playground for kids and an observatory (only open for special programs and not usually accessible). Great to take the kids, learn to bike, go for a run, walk the dog... but nothing to specially travel to Bainbridge for as a tourist. The annual Bluegrass festival takes place in July and during the summer there is occasionally a "Shakespeare in the Park" production that would be very much worth watching. Check local listings.

If you are looking for a great way to see Bainbridge Island like the locals you must rent bikes and tour the island. We headed to the bike rental shop right off the ferry and were greeted with the most helpful crew imaginable. I seemed like we were the only ones heading to the bike shop....everyone else missed out! if you only stay in the little downtown area on Winslow you are missing everything! They provided information about sites off the beaten path as well as great directions to tour the North end of the island. We are bikers back home and are used to hills so this was a challenge but not unexpected. A great way to incorporate a challenging bike workout and touring a beautiful island. Great views of Seattle, Mt. Rainier and the Olympic mountains from all angles biking this island. We earned our dinner for sure!

This park is a real gem. The kids play park is amazing and not to be missed. My kids have spent hours here and it is always a highlight of our visit to BP Park. Nice walking trail, fun duck pond, soccer fields, baseball fields, hockey rink. This place has it all.

My son LOVES coming to the playground at Battle Point Park. It's pretty incredible with a ferry, salmon run, lighthouse and more. The park itself is huge. Turf soccer fields, duck ponds, a long paved walking trail around the 80 acre park, transmitter building with play gym. This really is the mecca of parks.

This park is where I love to walk and exercise --- a great loop around the entire park. It also connects into two other trails systems which take you further afield. The park offers something for everyone. Soccer/lacrosse/softball/rollerhockey facitlities mean that games or practices are almost always going on. Picnic areas, benches for reading, a duck pond........Particularly lovely in the fall and summer. It does tend to be windier here than on the rest of the island so bring layers!
