I heard there were whales in the area so I took the ferry over from Seattle. Didn't see whales, but enjoyed my time hanging out on the beach. There are restrooms and lots of parking.

A PLACE WORTH VISITING in Bay bridge island. Crystal clear waters of the Sound , scenic view of Mt. Rainier and the Seattle will keep us busy . Though there are Logs , one can take a board walk to the beach, near the picnic shelters . There is a play park for the kids One can relax at the beach enjoying the scenic beauty of the place.

Climbing over the logs to get to the beach was a little tricky but the views were worth the visit. We could see Mt. Rainer and the seattle Sky line. Had fun searching for special rocks and shells.

We visited the park on the Washington leg of our journey. My late mother in law was a Fay Bainbridge so the park was definately on our itinerary. Lovely grounds and the beach was good to walk along. We caught the ferry over from Seattle and made our way up to the park via the local bus. Great views of the Seattle skyline from the beach and so very quiet and peaceful.

Nice rocky beach for long walks. The views of Mt Rainier were wonderful and there are picnic areas. Easy to get in and out of the parking area.

very nice park. A little windy when we first arrived. had to sit in the car to eat our lunch. The sun came out and the wind died down.we walked on the beach for about 2 miles. The dead Dungeness crabs were astounding. Wish the were alive. we would have had a feast

Big, expansive sky and sea views of sandy shoreline, Seattle in distance and the Puget Sound waterway filled with sailboats, container ships and cruise liners. A Must Stop in Bainbridge Island!!

We happened to just swing by this beach on the way home and took a nice little walk in the sand. We also explored the camping situation which had very nice, clean, private campsites. Definitely a nice place to come back to to beachcomb or have a picnic or maybe camp a night or two.

Spent part of a day on Bainbridge Island and visited this park by way of Geocaching activity. Was surprised at its size - has a lot of facilities. Enjoyed a walk around the beach and search for some caches. Nearby condos have one heck of a nice piece of real estate - and nice park to spend time in!

An easy walk one block up from the ferry terminal. You'll find the new Art Museum, Kid's Discovery Museum, and start of 4 blocks of retail stores, eateries, art galleries and wine tasting storefronts. Stores include clothing, home accessories, antiques, toys, paper goods, bookstores and floral. Eateries include pizza, sandwiches, bakeries, coffee, fine dining, take out from Town & Country, and local wines. At Madison St. head downhill for Gelato, coffee houses, more stores and eateries and pubs at the harbor. A wonderful day of walking with friends. No need to bring your car over for this adventure. Dog friendly but keep your dog on a leash, and if your dog isn't friendly with strangers then think twice. Always pick up after your dog. Waterfront park is behind Town & Country. Let the kids and dogs burn off some energy at the Park. On July 4th, their is a small town-style parade on Winslow with dancing, food and craft stalls, and lots of fun parade displays. On the Fourth, get there by noon to get a good curbside parade location. Seating is not provided. On Halloween there is Trick and Treating on Winslow.

Very nice stroll on the beach. Was fun to walk on the drift wood. It was very peaceful, probably because it was a week day, late afternoon.

This is my favorite beach on Bainbridge. The light in the afternoon is just amazing. There is nice sand for kids to play in and the view is beautiful. There is also a small playground with swings and slides. I highly recommend this one for a day trip with kids.

No matter when I go this park is quiet and serene. It is a nice place to take a walk and feel like you have your own beach. There are a lot of logs and there is no sand, what you would expect from a PNW beach. The park is free to enter, has some campsites and a nice covered picnic area set up on the hill - great views! I take the dog with me and he enjoys it. I have been in summer, winter, fall and I pretty much have the place to myself or just a handful of people at most.

It was the typical Island beach with alot of logs down. The "sand" is small pebbles, not a real walk in the sand type. We went on a chilly, foggy day so it is probably different in the sunshine.
