I have played this muni before and had a wonderful time, so this was not expected. My son and I only had time to play 9 holes mid day on a Saturday. When we checked in, we were told by the pro that we would have to pay for a full round to play 9. It seems they have the discretion to charge this, although they did not explain what triggers the extra charge. We paid, because we were looking forward to getting out together. Then the pro told us to be patient, as there was a fivesome ( usually never allowed) and a bachelor party ahead of us! The result was an expensive, slow round of golf. The course was in good shape, but the rest of it turned me off. I'll go to Bear Mountain next time.
Barely worth playing. Back and forth, crowned greens, no design. Boring is best word. Bear Mountain, Desert Canyon, Alta Lake all much better.
Not too bad for a muni course. The biggest challenge is the cost. Once you pay for a cart and practice balls you may as well play a high end course that includes the golf carts.
Good rates after 2pm - course in good shape after a busy summer. They are letting their rough grow a bit higher than I remember. Seemed like a lot of trees where taken out - not sure why. Otherwise, still looks the same.
Disclaimer - we are not avid golfers. This was a nice course, and well maintained, but my favorite thing about it was how open it was - it made it a lot easier to find the ball when I hit a wacky shot. Nice grounds and a pretty course.
For a municipal course this was very nice. Not a mundane track, closer in grooming to the resorts in the area but at a better cost. Scenic views of the lake and surrounding area, well kept grounds. Club House was nice, overall a great experience.
Great views. Well kept condition. Recommend walking if you can tolerate some steep hill climbs. Great value.
It's not Torrey Pines or Pebble BeAch but its a nice little course in Chelan that offers decent value for the money. The views are nice off the 1st and 4th tees and most of back nine. Carts are not required but they are nice to have on hot summer days. The driving range tees are off a cliff so you can get your confidence up. The greens have decent speed are crowned and generally slope front to back, so if you are long you're screwed, especially on number 12. Lastly it can get really windy so be prepared.
We enjoyed this course. Greens were in great shape - many were 'turtled' so a good challenge for 24-handicap golfers.PRO: Lots of restrooms - and not just Portapotties - for the ladies. None of the tee-boxes got backed up.CONS: No snack/beverage cart came around even on a sunny Saturday.
Nice place to golf with a view of the lake. As a beginner I enjoyed the course with no pressure to rush. I will play it again next vist
