Staff was superb! They listened to us and got us the info we needed for what we wanted to see and do
We were pleased not only to find the visitor centre open on Sunday morning, but to have our pick of fresh apples delivered by a local grower.
Stopped in to get info on Mt Rainier. Staff provided me with the info I needed plus answered a question about gun stores in the area. Can't ask for more.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful and enthusiastic about the area they represent. Very interesting items for sale.
We had a little bit of a hard time finding this place. Once there we got the information and a couple of very good maps we came for. We were looking for fruit stands in the area.
A very nice visitor center. Gave us good info for our trip to Mt. Rainier plus suggestions to visit the local museum and wineries.
following prior recommendations we stopped at the visitors center to get some direction for our self-led wine experience...Anne provided great suggestions and maps including a chart that included hours that tasting was open in each winery....this information is invaluable in creating an itinerary.when she heard that we would return to seattle via Mt. Rainier she had suggestions and a great map for that as well.
The Center had loads of info on things to do in the area. If you want to visit some wineries, ask for the matrix on the Yakima Valley wineries which lists each winery by grape varietal they produce.
great place to grab details of the area. Can even have a wine tasting. lots of information from the person working there. It is worth the stop.
they have wine tasting at the visitors center!! the staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations on local wineries and restaurants
We wanted to tour the winery's in the area and got lots of good information from the Visitors Centre. They gave us lots of maps and tips about the winery's as well as a schedule of what times and days the winery's opened which was very helpful. Also gave us a voucher for the Bonaire Winery for free tasting (it is usually $5).
Very helpful and informative. They even have a gift shop that sells the local wines from the area. I stopped here with the family to find out what outdoor events were happening in the area locally.
My nephew, 13' was coming to visit us and I had no idea about where to take him for entertainment. The Visotor Center gave us several ideas. They worked well! He had a great time and so did we.
We need an escape from the Seattle clouds, so we headed to Yakiima for the weekend. Knowing we needed to do something more than drink wine (well, geez, it was 10am, people!), we headed to the visitors center. It's a lovely place, and the woman working there took the time to find out what we were interested in and then made suggestions. Very helpful.I would love to see some more non traditional offerings in these visitors centers...not just the standard fare. The offbeat, unique...certainly every region has them.
Very professional & knowledgeable staff offering a wide array of brochures & maps on area attractions.
