We were really excited to see how Indy cars were made. When we arrived, we were charged full price for admission. We were unable to view the Indy cars being manufactured as it is permanently closed. We were also told not to sit in the Indy cars to take pictures, as they were off limits. Overall, we will not return!

This actually turned out to be more fun than I thought initially. It does not seem to be that big a place at first but what they have really entertains. The simulators are a lot of fun but other things like a movie of the Daralla history and materials/techniques used to build race cars were presented nicely as well. The factory tour was closed due to some "top secret" activities but that was okay as I had no expectations/knowledge that this would be offered anyway. I can just understand the frustration if somebody came for that and got disappointed. There is also a large ramp to do a "Pinewood Derby" with self-built vehicles so you get fun for all ages!

I really enjoyed the Dallara experience. We were there Dec. 22 in the late afternoon. For the time being the factory tour is not open due to a government contract. This is a real jewel for Speedway! What I learned from the exhibits is what a passion Dallara has for racing, and how he revolutionized the chassis and safety. I liked that I could touch and pick up the various pieces of carbon fiber, the wings on the cars, etc. the drive simulators were fantastic and worth the admission. We spent about an hour to an hour and a half. Really fun! Afterward we had a great coffee drink at Linno.

The full blown Tour was off the HOOKGuide Tours well educated and found to be very interesting; very impressive Factory in our local Racing Capital of The World

If you are a fan of racing, this is the place for you! I took my father here on his birthday (he's a life long IndyCar fan). This gives you insight into how the chassis are made and a history of the chassis. They have really cool simulators you can play on (one is incorporated into an IndyCar tub). I would highly recommend the ride along. Granted, you don't get to go around the track (which is within sight of the place), but you do get to go around city streets in a 2-seater IndyCar.

The Dallara factory is only a 30 minute walk for the motor speedway so if you're in the area it's well worth visiting. The building shown is new so it's easy to spot along that street and the entry fee is reasonable, although for only a few dollars more you can take a guided tour which is well worth it.

They hand make all the Indy cars here in this factory. The tour takes you through all the stages of production. But the most fun may be in the waiting area where you get to drive the Indycar Simulators. Those things are fun and more than a little addictive. Good times.

We had an event at Dallara with a large number of people. It is a beautiful building. Everyone loved the activities, especially the simulators. They are better than arcade simulators. There are other fun things to do. The staff was very friendly.

The experience was good, however, it is difficult to get in touch with anyone on site to get information. We were disapppointed that we did not get to ride in an Indy care, but we did get to ride in a stock car. We would probably have chosen a different day if we had know the Indy car was not available that day. Otherwise, an interesting and enjoyable visit.

I called the phone number provided on the website and got a basic outgoing message with no option to speak to a real person which is a shame. When we arrived at 3:45, we were told the last tour had been at 3:00. That was not mentioned on their phone line or we would have arrived earlier. You can go around on your own and look at the displays and there is a lot of information to read. Good explanation of engineering methods they use. The short movie is well done and explains the beginning of the company. We were eligible for senior citizen's discounts but still had a lot of fun using the racing simulators. The area where they assemble chassis was closed which was unfortunate. They did have several cars on display including the new Indy Lights car for 2015.

If your a fan of Indy Car or just a race fan this is the place for you to stop. You can take a guided tour of the shop or wander around some area's your self. Lots of things for kids to do.Also they have a bar and resturant inside. Sara Fisher Hartman racing is located next door. And there are lots of resturants on the same street to choose from.

After experiencing the drive and ride at the Indianapolis speedway we met our lead car driver who turns out is the owner of the Dellara Indy car factory. After spending about 20 min or so speaking with him about racing my wife and I decided to visit his factory. Outstanding is a great word to describe it . Now there was a private function going on at the time so we were invited to visit the Indy lights fabrication shop. This is an amazing place if you are a race fan. The gentlemen that were working on the 2015 Indy light car were friendly and informative. If you are a True Race Fan or Looking to become one this is a must visit! Mike Albrycht

We rushed away from the Children's Museum to see the "Indy Car Factory". We arrived and were told that because of a special project, no tours were being conducted. It would have been nice to see that posted on the web site. From that point, the short movie about Dallara himself was the most interesting aspect of the whole place. The "gift shop" was nothing more than a rack of a dozen or so articles of clothing on hangers. We spent an hour playing the video games ("race simulator"). Without a tour of the factory, there is absolutely no reason to visit.

It was alright. would have been awesome if you're actually able to tour the factory and see how the cars are made. The day that I went the factory was closed they were working on a special project. But you're able to check out the show cars. The racing simulators are pretty cool fun when you have a group of People.

We attended a private event here that included tour of factory and history lesson about Mr Dallara's 40+ year history of designing Indy cars. You can drive Indy car simulators and even ride in an Indy car.
