Not much to see during the non harvest season. Small facility witha nice wine tasting area. Wines are pretty good & reasonable priced.
They have a fantastic tasting room and a beautiful display of not just their wines, but gifts and specialty grocery items too. We did find quite a few things to bring home with us. Bravo! Great customer service too.
A unique selection of wines and other wine related products. Love the cheese spread with blueberry wine! The staff are very helpful too. Wine tasting gives you the opportunity to taste before buying.
I stopped by the winery looking for a few locally made gifts for my family members for Christmas. I was warmly greeted by a nice woman who took the time to help me pick out a few bottles of wine as well as a few cheeses, and packaged them nicely in a gift box. The gift shop has a great selection of wines, some cheese and house brand cheese spreads, crackers and condiments, lots of cranberry related products, and other non-food gifts. They offer free wine and cheese samples as well as a winery tour which wasn't open at the time of my visit. I would highly suggest a stop if you're in the area as you won't be disappointed.
Wow! We are glad we decided to take our kids on the tour... they learned a lot about manufacturing and the hustory of the Three Lakes area. The tour is well done. We had avoided it for years because it is wine. However, what an educational opportunity! The kids sampled a variety cheeses and crackers, so they didn't feel left out. Plus we knew what they liked and what they did nit enjoy for our purchases in the shop.We bought several items. Loved the Northwoods items. We bought a few gifts and will return.
We stopped here the day after Thanksgiving and were greeted warmly by the lady behind the wine sampling counter. She offered us a list of their wines and we were told we could pick 6 to sample. Nice selection of many types of wine from dry to sweet. And we like most of them. We bought a few bottles, very fairly priced, and shopped around the gift shop which had cheeses, meats, teas and coffees, and the usual mugs and other gift type things. Very nice! And everyone there was pleasant and as we walked around we were offered cheese and crackers. no rush or push to buy anything, so we stayed, looked around, and bought some very nice things for ourselves and for gifts.
We are year 'round residents in Three Lakes and our house guests always request a stop at the Three Lakes Winery before heading home. The wine tasting helps you zero in on your favorite wines and only takes a few minutes. The assortment of unique food items provides some great snacking items to eat along with the your wine selections.
When we have visitors come to the area we love to take them to see the Three Lakes Winery. They have a short explanation of the facility and the wines they make and the bottling. They have a lot of fun foods and wine related products you can buy besides taking some wine home. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. A must if you are visiting the Three Lakes Area.
We got a free bottle in our hotel room from our bride to be-it was so good, I went and bought 12 bottles of the cranberry/moscato wine. It'll be great as Christmas presents and to drink with dinner. Even my friend who hates wine had some and loved it!
On our way home from upnorth. We made a stop at Three Lakes Winery. Cute & Friendly Winery! Enjoyed samples prior to our purchase. And even treats for the teens in our group! Loved everything this place offers.
First, remember that you are in northern WI. The tour itself is rather boring unless you are truly into wine making. The wine tasting, however, is nice. 6 varieties are allowed in the sample (out of 20+), and the shop is quaint. Worth stopping by if you are in the Eagle River/Three Lakes area.
I have been wanting to visit Three Lakes Winery for years when I go up to Eagle River and finally made time for it. Now, I wish I would have visited the Winery earlier. It will become a "Must Do" on my list now when up in Eagle River. One thing to share that other reviewers may not have mentioned is that the tours are only given at the top of the hour. The wine tasting is well done; you are served tastings of some of the cheese spreads and summer sausages. You will end up walking out having purchased some cheese and summer sausage that was soaked in Cranberry Wine - really good! I choose the Reisling that priced at $9.95/bottle.
I stopped here while passing through town on a daytrip after seeing a sign on the highway, and am glad I did. The store/tasting area is very nice, lots of gourmet foods for sale and a ton of wine choices. They specialize in fruit wine, and carry a few grape wines as well. You're able to sample up to 6 varieties which doesn't seem like enough when they have around 20 to choose from! The building is very cool, and very old. We did the free tour of the wine-making area, which is always neat to see, but our guide was a high school girl reading off a script. She really didn't have any knowledge of the process or operations beyond the script. The tour was still worth the 7 minutes it took. This is more of a short stop, we spent maybe 30 minutes there and really isn't a place you'd spend a lot of time at. Overall, I'm glad we stopped and we stop again in the future.
This is one of the places we always stop when we come to Eagle River. They have a nice selection of wines, reasonably priced. It's a good place to pick up a gift for the cat sitter, etc. In addition to wines, they have a nice selection of snacks, gifts, etc.
Loved the chance to sample their fruit wines and cheese spreads before purchasing. Cute shop, awesome local items to purchase, great place to visit for a special occasion. Three Lakes blueberry wine is my favorite, however after sampling their Black Cab, I may have a new favorite.
