What a treasure for the city of West Allis. So many wonderful vegetables etc. In the spring, there are many very healthy plants to plant in the garden.

The West Allis farmer's market during the peak of the summer has everything you need to make a fantastic salsa. It has an abundance of vegetables, flowers, and homemade edibles. My family looks forward to going every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend until October.

Tons of vendors, shop around to get best deals. You see local farmers and if you come every week, they remember you and give great volume pricing. You can find just about any fruit or veggie you are seeking

Don't do a lot of farmer's markets, but have been to this one several times. Lots of choices, local, and easy to get to.

I always enjoy going to the Farmer's Market....I love to support the local farmer or business. In the fall, I like to go there to get fall veggies and pumpkins for us to carve.

I have been going to the Farmers Market, or as many call it, "The Green Market" forever. My mom or my grandmother would take me from the time I was three years old. That's over sixty years and I still can't wait to get there. If you haven't been to the West Allis Farmer's Market you have been missing a great treasure. The produce!!! The produce!!! It is so incredibly fresh and yummy. In the spring you will find flower and vegetables started for you to take home and plant. The variety is endless. You will also find many crisp apples and fresh cider. The flowers are gorgeous! They have hanging baskets that are just huge. Real eggs from the farm. When you crack them open the bright yellow yolks stand up so high. MMMMM. While the farmers pay rent for their stall, their overhead is nothing like a store would be and this is fresh, fresh, fresh! In the summer plan on walking up and down each aisle and don't miss anything. There is fresh picked corn that is the best you've ever had. It's picked that morning and we take our corn, eggplant, beans, snap peas, honeycombs, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, kale, and other vegetables right home and make a big salad, quick cook some vegetables and corn. Oh, the corn. You've never had corn like this from the store. You only need cook it for about 3 minutes and we don't even put butter on it. It is so awesome. In the fall they have cabbages, eggs, fresh chickens, honey, apples, fresh cut flowers, carrots, and a ton of different types of squash, herbs, etc. It's always THE BEST!Cash only, no credit cards. Usually starts to open about the end of April and runs through approximately the end of October.Open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 1:00 PM until about 5:30ish.

I have been going to the West Allis Farmer's Market since I was a little girl. Now 40+ years later I still enjoy going a few times a month to check out all of the booths and bring home tons of fresh farm grown fruits, vegetables, and beautiful flowers! Hope to be able to continue this tradition for many years to come.

Every spring I wait for this farmer's market to open. Go early for the best pickles for pickling, all the vegetables are picked daily and locally. We have some great soil, so you won't see these pickings at your standard grocery store. There is also a guy who sells corn and will sign to you. Just overall great visit. Don't bring your visa, cash n coin is best.

If you're in the city of West Allis or close, visit one of the historic places to get your produce right from the farm. It also has some farmers that bring in fresh meat, eggs, honey, flowers, herbs and much more in an open-air, sheltered atmosphere. We must support our local farms and businesses.......and it's fun and delicious! The best time to go is Aug. thru Sept. However, it is open June thru Oct.

Definitely worth a drive. The produce changes with the season so we got apples and root vegetables this time. We also got grilled bratwurst and italians from Rupena's for a quick lunch.

As green markets go this is the best one around Milwaukee and vicinity. Not the easiest place to find, and parking can be limited at times, that said its worth a visit. Variety of vegetables, flowers, seasonal fruits, honey and poultry is available on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 1-5 pm

My wife likes to go during the week and me on the weekend. I work days, the best is the winter time, its inside, last few years it was at West Allis state fair park, this year going to be at the Milwaukee domes, we like the domes so will see how it goes, anyway stop in friendly venders and always fresh food

A little bit of everything in a pavilion. I also like the fact that the market is in the afternoon. Parking could be better because this a very popular market and parking can be difficult. Try to go early to secure a parking spot.
