If you would like to get away from it all, this is a great place to stop. We like to walk the bike trail and sit at the Marina to watch the sail boats. Great place to release stress

So much to see and do here. Bike paths that go on forever, you can walk or run with your dog as well. You can seat and watch the water as well as the sail boats float by. And nature wow so many different animals birds, deer, raccoons, squirrels and the list goes on. So come and enjoy oh yea bring a picnic lunch.

We live about 15 minutes from Nockamixon and love it all year around. We had a pontoon boat for 3 years and loved boating on the beautiful lake. It is a limited horsepower which makes it a peaceful day out. We also kayak on the lake. There are many trails for hiking, biking, and XC skiing which we have done and enjoyed. They vary from easy to more challenging. There are even areas where you can sled. We have often seen deer and the birding is wonderful. Lots of Blue Heron as well as many other birds. Eagles and Osprey can often be seen. There are many picnic areas that are very nice with grills available. The scenery is beautiful especially in the fall. There is a pool area but we have never gone swimming there. Go, relax, and enjoy!!

this park has so many options. My husband and I like to take our kids hiking. My husband likes to go mountain biking on their new trails which are fantastic. Views are scenic, the park is clean, they have lots of family activities such as the yard, the pool, walking paths and trails paths and hiking paths. Definitely check it out if your local or driving through.

I live nearly so disc golf here a bit. It's best in fall, winter, spring but in summer too easy to lose disc in undergrowth. Also, avoid during wet weather but parts are very muddy. It's a great course though, very varied, some very long holes and mostly open enough to have a chance if your'e good.

For this area this is a very large park with a wonderful lake, miles of trails, a pool and plenty of space to lay down a blanket and enjoy the scenery.

I visit here frequently to kayak, mountain bike and walk and it's one of my favorite places in all of the eastern PA region. Fantastic kayaking, canoeing and of course sailing, the trails around the lake range from challenging to super-easy and the scenery can be breathtaking. I don't go anywhere near the public beach area in the summer since it's packed with people trying to beat the heat, but that section is a tiny, tiny part of the entire park and easy to avoid or completely ignore. Friendly rangers here, too. Go! But don't tell too many people ;).

I go to Lake Nox daily to walk the dog on the miles and miles of trails - horse trails, hiking trails....they are all mapped and easy to find. I am always stunned by how few people there are out there, when so many live within a five minute drive of the Lake! I also kayak at the lake in the warmer months, and their boat ramps are well-kept and convenient.

There a few large bodies of water in Eastern PA, and this state park has one of them. A busy boating community and marina, some decent roads and trails, and a huge outdoor pool in the summer months. Not a ton of amenities, but a good place.

My wife and I love to hike and this is one of the best place for hiking in this area. You can hike by the lake or you can go deep into the woods for a very peaceful hike.

I purposely moved into the area because the state park is everything you could want to do outside, apart from climb a mountain. There are miles of hiking paths, a great sized lake which is large enough to kayak or canoe to and fro upon and not see the whole thing in 5 trips, but certainly see the whole thing if you try, picnicking amenities everywhere, frisbee golf, great fishing, and even a swimming pool if you feel the need. You can rent pretty much whatever you want for the lake, and can easily bring your own boats. There's even some nice climbing just across the street in the haycock game-lands ;)

I have enjoyed the lake for over twenty five years, have fished it morning noon and night on shore and on boat. Its nice just to sit at the marina and watch the boats sail or people boarding etc.

We live about 12 miles from this park, however this was the first time I'd ever been there in my life. It was a nice little day trip to get outta the house and do something different. Some of the leaves were already changing here and there, the weather was great- warm and sunny in late September. So it was a nice drive down and nice little stay there. Since it was out first time we really didn't know what to expect and went more on a exploratory trip. We walked around one of the trails near the boat rental station; watched cormorants sunning themselves on the docks and swimming in the lake. And watched sailboats, kayaks and paddle-boards sail by on the calm lake. So next time we need to get away from the house for a quick afternoon, we'll pack up a little lunch and head to the park for a nice day out.

My wife and I kayaked the lower part of the lake for a few hours today (9/28/14) from the Three Mile Run Launch. We are new to paddling this year and this was our first time at this lake. The lake has numerous launch sites (with restrooms) so each time that we go back we will do a different launch. Being that we saw a Bald Eagle today I'm thinking that this will be my wife's favorite area of the lake.

Very clean and the lake has a 20 hp limit on power boats so you don't get the problem of being swamped by big boats racing back and forth.Rest rooms are clean - nice swimming area and best of all? FREE FREE FREE! Not even a charge for the picnic area or parking.I have been told there are fish in the lake but they never seem to want to visit the end of my line. But you know what? That's why they call it fishing and not catching.
