Stopped in with three young kids. They enjoyed the scavenger hunt, but that was about it. Not a lot to see. The workers were very nice and helpful. It's worth a stop but not a place I want to go to very often.

This is a very informative museum showing dioramas of the original Lewis and Clark voyage, some replica tools and camp equipment, and some very outdated and worn out taxidermy mounts. There are no artifacts from the original expedition. The museum mainly shows items (including the keel boats) from the 200th anniversary expedition that traced the route of the original Lewis and Clark voyage. This was interesting, just a little disappointing if you were expecting to see items from the original trip. They do show a 20-30 minute video about the original trip that was very good.

My fiancée and I went here just to see what it was. We went in on a day when some of the people who had done the Lewis and Clark reenactment exhibition in 2006 (?) had come in, so we had a great time learning even more about what the river was like during that time, how it's changed, etc. The museum is lovely and so full of great information. The woman and gentleman who work there are so lovely and nice. It was just a wonderful, unexpected trip.

We have done nearly the entire Lewis & Clark route, and this is a terrific museum and historical site. Done simply so children of all ages can enjoy as well as senior citizens. The statue is quite similar to one we saw further west.

There are displays. There is a video. There are life-sized models of the boats that were used in the documentary film. It is a very complete and interesting coverage of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The staff is outstanding in their knowledge and enthusiasm

Lewis & Clark is located on Main Street in old town St. Charles and had been there for many years. They have a variety of food and drinks. I had a Rueben Sandwich that was absolutely delicious. It is a great place to sit and relax and have a great meal.

I took my relatives to the Lewis and Clark center and they really enjoyed it. It's educational and fun place to visit. We even enjoyed just being out on the deck. The ladies working in the gift shop were so personable too. There is a movie describing the Lewis and Clark trip that was good. They offer a AAA discount.

The Lewis and Clark Expedition was brought to life in this wonderful little museum and nature center. The artifacts, replicas and historical documents were all so interesting. We enjoyed the grounds as well.

The Lewis and Clark Boathouse and Nature Center (with full sized replicas of the river craft used!) was across the street so we visited it. Those boats were actually sailed up the River during the Bicentennial celebration. A great museum!! Of course! We love Lewis and Clark anyway (being from the Northwest and have visited Ft Clatsop ) So it was really nice to see these boats and the Missouri River beside them. You can tell that a lot of time and work has been put into making this museum. The handmade dioramas, the camp example, the many photos of the Bicentennial celebration, and the well-planned prairie garden. Inside the museum, we watched the National Geographic DVD on their trip and then saw the many displays. Of particular interest are the many dioramas of the trip, and the stream table which shows how rivers change over times. They have a great educational program too, for kids.

Small museum but very well laid out. We enjoyed the animal scavenger hunt and the boys received a Lewis and Clark penny for completing the paper. After looking at the garden outside we walked on a nice trail and were able to get great views of the river.

We stopped here with the grandkids to entertain them on a cloudy afternoon. Small fee to go in & look around but staff made it fun for the kids by having them scavenger hunt for animals on display. Interesting exhibits but doesn't take too long. The boys (aged 7) had a good time looking for animals to cross off their list. Nice view of the river. Got some candy at the souvenir shop. We followed this trip with lunch at Dave & Buster's to round out the afternoon. I would recommend if you are looking for something fun and educational for little ones to do for an hour or so.

Fun & educational place to take the kids for a hands on experience of what it was like in Lewis & Clark's day. Combine this with lunch on the landing/Main Street or another St. Charles outing because it won't fill your day.

This is in the end of the park off of Main Street, but its worth stopping for a short look if you're into history. $5 to see part of the museum, the whole thing is rather small and doesn't seem worth it. Alot of replica items, but still worth spending a few minutes if you like Lewis and Clark.

We had a little trouble finding the center. It is called the "Lewis & Clark Boat House and Nature Center". A merchant told us that it was on the main street & this was incorrect. The visitor's center helpled us out and we found it a few minutes later. The theater shows a video that has been on television many times. I suggest that you skip the video. The items on display appeared to be items simular to genuine artifacts but it is still very worth while.I like this stort of stuff and enjoyed the visit. It does not take long to go through the attraction.
