I have been wanting to do this for years and just never got there. Like other reviewers commented, it doesn't take long to go through the attraction, so I can understand if some were disappointed if they had a 3 hour wait. I think the wait will be better for most now they relocated in the historical society. The staff/guides did a great job of introducing each character in the exhibit. They were in character and very well spoken. I hope they continue to grow and extend their time open! The Witches Dungeon is a a must see in Bristol and pat of our history.

No, it's not much to go through but yes, it has its charm. For those that appreciate a unique experience, I'd say this is a must see but it certainly won't take long. No one can walk away thinking the E.T they saw wasn't cool, not to mention the excorcist head! If you can make is some year, it's a definite stop and then grab a bite and a beer at the Barley Vine half mile away.

Chortling Hull is legend when it comes to scary creations, makeup. Well known in Halloween Hollywood from Lugusi to present, the Witch's Dungeon has been around for decades. Only better, it recently moved to the Historical Society on Center St. Get There or Be Square!

Waited with family for 3 hours only to walk into a tool shed full of mannequins. Creepy people working there. Is this place legal? A carnival atmosphere without any of the fun. Very strange...

a small but worthwhile look into classic horror characters. The wait is pleasant but dress warmly and bring hot drinks since the line can be long. People chat and it is a good time.

I have been going to Witch's Dungeon ever since I was a kid. We would make hot chocolate and stand in lines for hours watching a scarey old movie before entering. My reccommendation is to either get there right when it opens, or get there later at night. If there is a line, every group of 4 takes about 8 mins to go through the tour and they only allow 1 group at a time...do the math. It used to be free, but it might cost only a $1 or $2 per person. The tour is now guided by a scary person with a mask and lantern that doesnt speak, just guides. You get short clips of sounds and background of the famous haunting figures of all time such as the Mummy and the Vampires. It really is not like a scarey haunted house, but more for the people who appreciate the art of halloween characters.

My husband took my sister and her two boys to see the Dungeon on Hallowe'en. They had a frightfully good time and the boys are still talking about the variety of monsters that they saw.

We love that Cortlandt Hull opens up his home every year to show off the Witch's Dungeon. He makes a point of showing cartoons or movies in his year to entertain guests waiting to enter the wooden trailer holding his recreations. This place has a lot of charm and is worth every penny of the $2 fee.

Went to The Witch's Dungeon on Saturday, September 29, 2012. I had been wanting to go for years, but had never made it. On display, on the field, was the '66 Batmobile. A person dressed as "Joker" sat on a lawn chair, watching a movie or show on the large screen. As you stand in the waiting line, there are stands that sell post cards, posters, and other tidbits. There are also Halloween decorational pieces lying around. Once you reach the door to the dungeon, a Frankenstein miniture head, stuck onto the entry door, stands staring at you while the female greeters tells you a bit of the history. Admission into the dungeon is $2.Once inside, you see a masked/costumed man tell you to proceed forward. Be advised that the inside of the museum is one shallow and tight passage-way (not recommendable for anyone who may suffer from claustophobia). As you wind down the passage, there are figures on both sides of the walls. As one lights up and speaks, it soon darkens, and allows the next figure on the other side of the wall to speak. It is a pretty neat venue. I would love for them to expand. I hear that on October 13, they are to have Monster Bash on site. May try to go to the Dungeon that night, too.

If you're a horror movie fa, this is not to be missed!

The museum is small, but off fun. There are about 10 life size figures of classic horror monsters like The Fly, Dr. Phibes, Frankenstein's monster and more. The admission is a donation of your choice. It's great fun and I enjoyed more then that other museum in Salem.

The Witches Dungeon is a small museum with a big punch. I have been a regular visitor to the Witches Dungeon since it's openning. I was 6 years old and lucky enough to live just around the corner. As a child it was the scariest place to go to on halloween. As an adult, I now can appreciate the work of art that it is. Visitors eagerly wait in line while listening to such tunes play on the outside speaker such as The Monster Mash. Newcommers will anxiously wonder what the human screams they hear coming from inside the museum are all about. Fun and scary for both children and adults alike. Dress warm and be prepared for tight quarters. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend a visit. Bravo Courtland Hall for your artistic talent, dedication, and for sharing it with the outside world.
