What a great experience! All of the wines we tasted were excellent. My husband and I opted for the tour, which was very personalized, informative, and fun. All of the staff we encountered were nothing short of friendly and enthusiastic. I would definitely recommend visiting!

The views are worth the price of admission! Wines are good enough while not outstanding. Everything about our visit was pleasant. The staff was knowledgeable about their products. Only downside was their not having an 'open' WiFi connection for the kiddies (and grandpa) to keep them occupied while mom and dad sample the wines. Go there and try them out, you won't regret it!

Have been here several times, each when they have music, you can bring a picnic lunch, do a tasting and enjoy the ambience. There are several spots to relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings. The Pamunkey Fall and the Cabernet Frac were our favorites. the Chambourcin we were told was good in brownies, which we tried and it was fantastic. the tasting fee is $7 which gives you a glass to take home.

My husband and I stopped here while exploring some new wineries in this area. We were on a trip for our wedding anniversary. The place and building is beautiful. The wine were just ok, nothing all that great. When we ask to taste their most expensive wine, we were told we could not. We don't buy unless we taste! We decided to buy a bottle to drink by the fireplace to be supportive of the va wine industry. When he gave us our bottle he ask us to use the glass we tasted from(we split a tasting) and the have us a plastic solo cup for the other person! We asked why we couldn't have two glasses the excuse was they didn't have a dishwasher. How in the hect are the tasting glasses getting clean?! We have been to multiple dozens of wineries and have never had such terrible service! Never going back here....

My wife and I stopped at the four wineries on the trail and this one was our favorite. They had a soloist and barbeque guy there on the Saturday we attended and felt like it was a very nice place to visit. It was the most crowded of the tours we went on, but also the most interesting with the most character. The wines were good, but the atmosphere was the best.

We visit wineries often in VA (as we are close to many Fauquier/Loudon wineries) and since we were in the Williamsburg area for the weekend, we decided to give this one a try. We were quickly impressed with the beautiful grounds and the building - Gorgeous! The service we received inside during our tasting was friendly. We decided to share a tasting, as we're not the type who come to wineries for the purpose of tasting and leaving, we like to taste to find a style we enjoy and buy a bottle to enjoy while soaking up the beauty of the venue. We were a little put off that they tasted the cheaper chardonnay, which was stainless steel fermented, rather than the oaked, fuller-bodied chardonnay, which is what we prefer. Even after we told him we prefer a tastier, oakier chardonnay, we were simply advised we could buy that bottle from them. We decided to try a the cheaper chardonnay, as we tasted it and it wasn't bad.Upon receiving the bottle, we were given a plastic cup to drink out of. It looked like a mini Solo cup. I asked why we couldn't have a glass and was advised that they don't have a dishwasher to clean the glasses, so they give these plastic cups.Sorry - that might be fine for the masses coming in to simply do tastings and leave or others who wouldn't expect more, but we've never seen a winery who makes their guests drink from a plastic cup. Needless to say, we sat and drank for about 10 minutes and left. It really left a bad taste in our mouths to be treated like this.

When relatives from New York wanted to experience their first Virginia winery, we decided to visit Saude Creek. Saude Creek is easily accessible off I-64, relatively close to Richmond. Calling ahead, we were pleased to learn that the winery can accommodate a large party (we were 12), as there is ample seating both inside the tasting room, as well as outdoor seating, including seating around an outdoor fire pit.As Mother Nature saw fit to creating a blustery cold day, the staff were more than happy to allow us to arrange the tables inside to fit our large party. We were also permitted to bring our own food and snacks to enjoy with their various blends of wine. We also tasted some of the BBQ that was offered for sale (very good pulled pork, chili and mac & cheese).Views of the vineyards from the back deck were beautiful. You can see all the way to the Pamunkey River. With the autumn leaves still turning, it was an explosion of vibrant color all around. The staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable of their wines during the tasting, The tasting cost $7.00 and included 8 wines and souvenir glass) and we were more than happy to purchase several bottles (numerous times!) both reds and whites. My personal favorites were the Traminette and Chambourcin. We look forward to future visits to sit out on the back decks and patios when the weather is more accommodating. I would recommend Saude Creek to anyone who is looking to spend a nice relaxing day at a Virginia winery.

Easy to get to off 64, Saude Creek Vineyards offers some fantastic views from their large wrap-around porch and an inviting tasting area, complete with comfy couches and a fireplace. The wines were good, but not great. The tasting is $7 and includes a wine glass and the bottles of wine themselves were $15+, which was on the pricier side of Virginia wineries. However, the staff was very nice and the setting is inviting and relaxing and it makes for a great stop en route to Williamsburg.

My wife and I visited Saude Creek recently and were not disappointed. We have been to a number of VA wineries in recent years and had told Saude Creek was a decent place to visit and do a tasting. We arrived and were greeted warmly and immediately put with a group that was getting ready to start their tasting. The wines were well described and met the tasting notes well. We left with a case of wine!

Loved the winery, staff, view, ambiance, but the wine itself fell a little short. I'm not a picky drinker, but after visiting so many VA wineries I know better. The only wine I really liked was "Tavern white."

We visit lots of wineries, including many in Virginia. We were excited when we drove up and saw the beautiful setting. The building and outdoor areas are superb. The wine, however, leaves a lot to be desired. We chose this winery over another one in the area, because it showed more wine choices on the internet. When we arrived, we found we could only taste (fee) a few of their wines and they would "tell us" about the others. Never had that happen before! One of the ones we were "allowed to taste" was made with fermented apple skins. Yuck! We know this is a young winery and hope that it will improve and quit wasting effort of things like apple skins!

Rotton service. We drove out to experience this winery. After standing at the bar for 15 minutes and having not one single employee even look at us, we left. Horrible experience. At a minimum, they should have a host or hostess greeting people and explaining options. Absolutely no employees even looked our way though we were right up by the bar with at least 10 workers behind the bar.

We visited Saude Creek two weeks ago. It is a beautiful building with a lovely porch where you can bring a picnic and sit with a glass or bottle of wine you bought and enjoy the scenery and music. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. We enjoyed the wines and the experience and only wished we had more time to sit on the porch and enjoy another glass of wine.

This winery is outstanding. They have great outdoor seating and music a lot of weekends. There best white wine is Tavern White. If you like a sweet white wine trust me you will like this. Their food is good too. They serve great BBQ, crackers, cheese etc. I must stop if you are in the Richmond area.

I've heard a lot of good things about Saude Creek Winery so we drove from Suffolk VA to check it out. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. View is beautiful and the wines are awesome! They allow you to bring a lunch to eat on the terrace so we packed some cheese and crackers. We will defintely visit again!
