Loved everything about it! It is so impressive. Very well kept. Loved the place where you could take a picture of the memorial with F-16s flying over it. It is a very large park with lots of activities going on at certain times. Beautiful views all around the park. Stay at the Americana Hotel. They have a shuttle that will take you there and pick you up.

Overlooking the Arlington Cemetery is this tribute.Striking design. We visited during an Honor Flight and were very impressed. It is impressive for the site of an Air Force tribute to have such a beautiful location and views overlooking Washington.

Striking design. Memorial located just outside Arlington Cemetery. We were lucky to be there during an Honor Flight from Texas and watched the ceremony. Beautiful location and views.

Offers one of the best views of DC and Potomac River. Simple memorial - recognizable by three soaring "contrails" that catch light beautifully at sunrise and sunset. When I have visitors, I take them to this spot for a quick orientation of DC - pointing to National Cathedral, Kennedy Center, the bridges spanning the Potomac and a plethora of other sights that may be of interest. Seeing the layout of the city helps friends understand the relative position of neighborhoods/sites and Parking is a challenge.

i thought this was understated and inspiring. Didnt know it was there so came across it when moving from the Pentagon to Arlington, it does domminate the landscape due to the lack of tall buildings. A great discovery

Really only accessible by car, but they have parking there. You can do it in a 15 minute stop - but take time to read the inscriptions. Not uncommon to see a promotion, retirement or reenlistment ceremony there, especially in better weather.

It is a really cool little place to visit at night! A great view of the Pentagon and DC! The night time is a much more impressive visit than during the day!

Place to visit to pay respect to the man with wings. It's just by the road but there is more to just by the road, it's the feeling of being there and just looking straight at the Pentagon. Long live the the wing heroes.

While this isn't at the same level as the Korean War or Vietnam War memorial, it is very well done and worth a visit. You also get a wonderful of all of DC from the hill it is situated on. Its very close to the Pentagon memorial so you can hit both with one drive.

A beautiful tribute to airpower in America; simple but dignified. Made of stainless steel, the three fingers symbolize an aircraft formation climbing to the sky. An incredible view awaits you from the platform; some incredible stories are told around the monument of our youngest military service.

ok, it represent the contrails of the Air Force flight demonstration team, The Thunderbirds. My disappointment is that represents less than 1% of Airmen. The Air Force is so much more than fighter jocks. The monument completely misses the mark of showing the skill, valor and sacrifice of the vast majority of the US Air Force. Not worth the visit except for the view of Arlington National Cemetery and the Pentagon.

The location of this memorial is beautiful, and significant in that it sits right in the flight path of the plane that struck the Pentagon on 9/11. Highly recommended.

The spires make you feel like you are looking at jet contrails. You also get a great view of Washington and the Pentagon from here.

Of all the memorials in Washington, this one is near the bottom of my list. The time it takes to get there is longer than it will be to see the memorial itself. The view of Washington is good from there, especially the Pentagon Building- until the trees grow.

Because it is such a huge sculpture that reaches into the skyline you can see it from many areas of DC and Northern Virginia. If you pass it on I-395 (main highway into/out-of DC from Northern Virginia) you will probably wonder what it is, especially as it's well lit at night. It is three fighter jets screaming through the sky in a symbolic effort to demonstrate the sacrifice of the Airmen of the US Air Force and it's predecessor organizations of the US Army Air Corp.
