What a fun and crazy place! It would take DAYS to see it all! You can try and negotiate with the vendors, find all kinds of nick nacks, have some GREAT junk food! Just don't be like those people and bring your pets......ain't got time for that!

If you plan to go make sure you start at South side parking and walk Northward. There are many indoor venues as well as outdoor. If the weather isn't nice, then just plan to walk to the indoor ones. I arrived in January, and their website says this is the time to find bargains-that is only if you can vendors who are open. I found many vendors closed with signs posted stating they were closed for the next few months. This was very disappointing, but there was still plenty to see and do. There are many "fair" foods to eat, and by this I mean, hot dogs, turkey legs, funnel cakes, and foods you would normally find at a fair, and they are at fair prices too. You can walk forever, and see old, new, eclectic, cheap and expensive things all at this locale. Just remember where you parked, what you have seen, and if you find something to buy, it needs to be lightweight, or you need to bring something along with you to cart your purchase. You can ask if the vendor will hold it to you, but then you must remember to go back and FIND them. That can be quite daunting depending on how proficient you are at finding a needle in a haystack. Also, in one pavilion, they had mini donuts made on the spot fresh and hot! I love these things, and they were $2 for 6 of them, or $3 for an even dozen. This is a spot to visit.Be ready to wear close toed shoes, walk a long way, dress for the weather, and take a cart if you plan to purchase something and water too unless you want to buy it there. This can easily be an all day affair depending on how much you want to see, and the merchandise is endless. It really reminds me of a HUGE state fair with the varied products and fair foods. If walking and shopping is your passion, this is a great venue. The venue is free and parking is mostly $5 per car depending on where you park. Easy to find as it can be seen right off Interstate 20 and Highway 19.

Trade Days is an absolute blast for everyone! If your looking for something new, old, used, run of the mill or eclectic... It can be found here! Vendors will usually negotiate prices. There are indoor and outdoor venues as well as food, drinks and kiddie rides! There are cart rentals for your purchases, wagon rentals for the little ones as well as scooter rentals for those who find walking around for long periods of time difficult. Definitely worth spending the day!

We got here at opening on Thursday morning. Thursday is a great day to go as there aren't as many people there as is on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Our favorite booths to visit are the ones with just "stuff". Stuff as in odds and ends, garage sale stuff, used tools and stuff, old dishes and stuff. We love Stuff! There are booths upon booths of the retail genre. All new items such as clothing, jewelry, antiques, woodworking, signs, etc. We walked by those and only stopped if something caught our (my...59 year old female) attention. I found a Singer Featherweight sewing machine in excellent condition that I've been looking for. It was not a bargain. You really don't find very many bargains but you should be able to find anything and everything and more than you could possibly imagine. It can't all be seen in a single day. Take our advice and reserve a scooter if you have feet that aren't up to all the walking. They are well worth the $$. We will go back.

Could post a larger sign on the mountain for no scooters that we did not see and my disabled wife talked to like a dog by a Barney Fife security .

This was my first trip to Trade Days and I had a blast! We only spent 1 1/2 days there and that's not enough time to see it all. I will be going back!

Well let's just say my 2 sisters had never been to Texas let alone Canton! They were in for a treat. We all spent a lot of money, got great stuff, walked til our feet almost fell off and had a great day! Try the fried pies, oh my!!!!

My husband and I visited for the first time with little expectations. We bought a few dog beds, and some vintage stuff. It's like a huge garage sale, but people really price their stuff kinda high. They leave no room for collectors, or admirers of antiquities. The fried pickles, potato twisters, lemonade and corndogs are delicious!!! We'd be back just for the food! They also have something called "dog alley" which was kinda nice, I'm happy so many pets get adopted. Get ready to pay the "full breed" pricing.

Plan on visiting more than one day. Love it! New, old, antique, decorations for inside and outside, seasonal decorations too. Food vendors like state fairs, funnel cakes, kettle corn, corn dogs, fried desserts.

If you go to Cantons first Monday bring your tennis shoes, you will never make it through the whole thing, there is so many people, and the things you will find out there are wonderful plan on staying the whole day,

I have to disagree with the shopper who said there isn't much for the guys here. We found a door dealer, tons and tons of tools, antique gas pumps, car parts, horse equipment, garage storage units and did I say more tools? Be brave and walk out under the trees to see vendors with old tools of interest. There are miles of vendors under roof with overhead fans to keep you cool. Many different indoor facilities that are air conditioned. Only one downside is that there is just way too much to see in one day. Come early in the day and early in the week if the crowds bother you. If you are looking for true bargains try later in the day on Sunday. The vendors start packing up to leave then and are very willing to make a deal.Food? Just walk around and you will find everything from donuts to Cajun food so come hungry. We like to "eat" our way through First Monday. People are nice and helpful and will load things in your car or even offer to deliver for you. Yes it can be tiring to do all that walking so rent you an electric scooter, the vendors are everywhere. Way more fun than going to the Mall in the city. Something for all of the family for sure. We have been there at least 30 times. If you need a place to stay the night start calling in advance. Rooms are at a premium so try a bed and breakfast.

I can't wait to go back to see what treasure can be found - truly a great place to spend hunting down good finds.

Unbelievable to say the least. Put on a comfortable pair of shoes and by all means buy a cart, take a wagon or rent, you will need it. October weather was very cooperative. We spent three nine hour days and didn't see it all. Thursday and Friday was busy and Saturday was PACKED. Don't forget where you parked. The 2nd and 3rd day we tried to get close to the bigger items we knew we were going to purchase so it was easier to get to the truck (and take a truck). We stayed in Tyler because it was so much cheaper, but you get what you pay far. I would NOT recommend the Days Inn. We ate dinner one night at "Stanley's BBQ". Outstanding except not enough seating. Great place!

My husband wanted to go to canton for his 50th birthday. We did canton 2 days but we did not get to experience all the locations.this place was huge and lots to see and extremely hot. We walked the entire day on Friday and pretty much on Saturday until the end. We finally broke down and got scooters which made it much more fun to shop. It wa an awesome GRAND flea market experience. It was worth going for the first time and I would do it again. If you like bargains and flea markets you have to try this. The only thing I would not recommend is eating at the blue lagoon lunch wagon. We ordered hamburgers and they did not tell us ahead they were out of hamburger buns. When we received our food it was on 2 pieces of bread with no lettuce but an over riped tomatoe. Bad service and rude lady who we had o argue with to get our money back for this make do hamburger.DO NOT EAT at the BLUE LAGOON LUNCH WAGON
