What a fun place. We had our four-year old grandson with us and he enjoyed it, too. The two ladies who were manning the front desk were a joy to visit with. All of the exhibits were done in a first-class manner and all of the interactive exhibits actually worked - ALL of them. Was very interesting that they had a VERY few items left from the factory's inventory. One each of their most popular model airplane kits and some battery-powered flying toys. Even though I appreciated the Painted Churches, this little museum was the highlight of our trip for me.
My husband is an airplane and history buff, so he LOVED visiting the Aircraft Museum. Very entertaining. Quality facility.
grandkids loved it. the owners were awesome , loved talking to them and learning about past. loved all of it
It is great to see if you are in town. Very well put together. You get to go threw the small workshop and see some of the model that they made.
This is a fun stop for anyone who ever owned and flew a Stanzel model aircraft or who is interested in the history of aircraft models. The friendly hostess first set up a short video to introduce the Stanzel brothers and their business. Then after a self-guided tour of the wonderful museum, she led us through the factory building to see some of the original machines and displays about the making of the aircraft kits. We finished with a tour of the historic home of Victor and Joe Stanzel's grandparents, which has been restored and furnished with period antiques. A fun tour.
Can't remember the day we went. Had my great niece and needed something to do. She was eight then and she enjoyed it. We also went to their new library, which she loved.
If one is VERY, VERY interested in airplanes and model airplanes, you would find this very interesting. It is definetly worth a stop and it is well done, not too much for small children .
Great museum and historical review of two great model plane innovators. The Museum is a new facility, a very nice place that houses many of the Stanzel brothers aircraft products representing the business in historical perspective that would be great for the kids, also housed on sight is the original factory and machinery used at the time. The Stanzel foundation had the building moved to the museum sight.
