This was quite an amazing site. For someone who had never been to Dallas before it was remarkable how familiar this site was. Nice markers to the incident including noting where Zapruder stood, it was quite moving in its simplicity. The site itself actually was more moving than the museum across the street. For anyone interested in World history this is one of those bucket list places. Not to be missed, very special...

Dealey Plaza should be a somber place, but it was filled with weirdos hawking conspiracy theories and taking tacky pictures of tourists standing on the X painted on the street where the president was shot. I was there in the off season, so I can imagine it's so much worse in the summer. The way people were behaving embarrassed me. The city of Dallas needs to put a stop to that activity.

The place where JFK was assassinated still draws a lot of attention from people hawking various conspiracy theories. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting from the historic standpoint. However, the immediate neighborhood is sketchy. Do not visit after dark.

Free site, very close to museum, and downtown area. west end area is becoming trendy place to be. Several restaurants in the area.

I am not quite sure why I rated this so high.I have never actually walked it,but something keeps drawing people.I was in the third grade at this time and the physical layout of Dealey plaza has changed considerably since 1963.Guides will be available to give you background and a few conspiracy theories. Let the buyer beware! The schoolbook depository looks down on you from the north side of the plaza and it contains an interesting museum. Not on my list of favorite places.

This was a nice place to reflect on the Kenndy Assisanation. It is well done and maintained. If you are expecting statues or the like this is not the place. Of course near this site there are the typical vendors trying to hawk some soveigners. They are easy to ignore.

Worth a visit, easy walk and not far from Homewood Suites where we stayed in Elm St. We were not accosted by any loiterers as others have mentioned.

Have seen tons of video footage and pictures, but nothing takes the place of seeing this historical place in person.Everyone should go, if for nothing else but to reflect on the history of a great president.

Dealey Plaza is a historical site that is well known to people who were born prior to 1960, moderately known to people born 1960-1980, and probably unknown to most born after 1980. When you get to the plaza the first you notice is it is much smaller than all the films and video have led you to think, but it is exactly as it appears in those films. If you are an ardent history buff and particularly fascinated by the President Kennedy Assassination, this is definitely a place to visit.

Enjoyed the freedom to wander around to take in the experience. Some of the street sellers were a little agressive

Interesting piece of history worth seeing; it doesn't take long to walk around and read the displays.

Great visit ... second time just as good as the first. The audio tour was comprehensive and fantastic.

We visited late Saturday afternoon 2/21/15. We were a short walk from the plaza following a dinner downtown, and am very glad we decided to see this history. However, the locals that are selling books / dvds on the street are more than a little annoying. I don't like to be rude to people, but this is one of those situations that you almost have to, just to get away from them. I'm glad we went, but wouldn't do this twice.

There was so much information to absorb. Lots of videos and pictures along the narrated tour. It was nice to be able to go at your own pace however it was extremely crowded and sometimes hard to see the exhibits because people would not move on.I did find it upsetting to see all of the people who rushed out in between traffic to smile and have their pictures taken on the x that marks the spot on the road when JFK was shot. I can't comprehend people being giddy to have their picture taken in the spot where our president was assassinated. It should be a place of reverence. Also upsetting to have con artists nearby with replicas of the presidential vehicle for you to sit in and have your picture taken for a price. That's just disrespectful
