While unassuming and small by any museum standard, we found Werner to be jam-pack filled with more than we expected. Our grandchildren just LOVED to see (face-to-face) the hundreds of creatures displayed.Grandpa was fascinated by some of the trophy animals and loved the price - FREE.It needs a bigger venue. Dated and so full of displays that it was hard to get around. I cannot imagine the college spending so much on the Tate Museum (first class displays/spacious setting) and then little on Werner.Sort of the red-haired step-child of Casper museums, but one we take the little ones to see every time they come to Wyoming for a visit.

I have been going to the Werner for years and years. I always enjoy taking now people as they are shocked by the amount of information stored inside. It is perhaps the best zoological display available for critters specific to our region.Don't let the diminutive size of the building dissuade you. It's worth the trip.

I haven't been here since I was a kid but it was just as cool after twenty years. My kids loved looking at the bears and the "scary" animals. I had forgotten about the downstairs! Very impressive collection! Thank you for keeping this museum going for all these years.

Stopped at this museum on our way out of town on a rainy morning. Impressive collection and extremely we done. Not just a tour for school children.

Our kids love this place. Every year they get re-aquainted with old 6 Toes the bear. The staff are awesome, too!

The Werner Wildlife Musuem has been around for many years. I went there several times growing up and now my daughter is going with her classmates. Lot's of cool animals and history about Casper. The Werner Wildlife Museum is home to Casper's famouse albino deer. I would recommend this for school field trips or for anyone visiting Casper.

We live only blocks away from the Werner Wildlife Museum and we finally decided to spend an afternoon exploring what it had to offer. What a great surprise it was!The lady working there was so kind and friendly and welcomed our large family and children and gave us a small talk about what the museum had to offer. She gave us coloring sheets for the little ones and scavenger hunt papers for our older children. The animal displays are great and there is a wide variety of animals to look and learn about. Our favorites were the brown bear that was not "brown" in color and also the albino deer. There is a basement to the museum also, so don't let the size outside fool you. The basement had a very impressive collection of birds, more mammels, and some fish displays. The bird collection is really very large and varied and I will probably come back again someday just to look at the birds again. While this isn't a complete "hands on" type of place for children, there are some fur samples for the kids to touch and also the scavenger hunt for the kids to do. My kids ages 1 to 18 enjoyed the museum and we will go back again!Best off the museum is FREE to enter! Can't beat that, come check it out!

Nah, Im just kidding. If your into seeing quite a few animals that roam Wyoming's lands, cool! you'll enjoy it. They've all been stuffed and mounted. Its owned now by Casper College and is on 15th st. just before the YMCA, (swell, now that songs stuck in my head again..DANG VILLAGE PEOPLE!)
