We went with our two young grandson's to their summer session. My husband did Birds and I did Crawly Things. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! All 4 of us had a WONDERFUL DAY and learned so much! Our grandsons were both SO HAPPY we went and spent quality time with them! The Center and the Volunteers who run the sessions are extremely knowledgable, helpful and FUN! I recommend people visit and rejuvenate themselves in it's quiet beauty and immerse themselves in it's knowledge!

Fresh air. A lake. Trails. Shaded picnic areas. Benches. Lovely nature center. A beautiful place to unwind and relax after a long day at Mayo Clinic. Just lovely.

I find this a great place to walk and find some peace. It has so many different landscapes that I find relaxing.

This place would be a great place to bring kids. they have animals and it is a very pretty place. The trails here are a great place to run and they never get boring.

perfect for family outing to walk the trails or visit the free-will donation nature center. Live fish, snakes and bee hive are fun for little kids. Also, if looking for a unique gathering area it's a great place to have smaller parties and bring in your own food for a more affordable party.

Fun little place to spend 2 hours or so with the grandkids. They will love feeding minnows to the native fish in the aquarium! Lots of animal artifacts they can touch. Wouldn't go too far out of my way to get here though.

With not much around in ROchester this was definitely a fun place to visit as a family. The little place has reptile shows, bird watching, fish feeding, hiking, fossil finding, skiing and hiking opportunities. The best was the mine tour that has some interesting history. A must visit in Rochester.

The indoor exhibit had lots more animals than I expected. We also enjoyed the trails and view of downtown Rochester. We didn't have a car and were staying near St Mary's. It was no problem to take a bus (#2) to a path that led to the nature center. It was well worth the trip.

Very important part of history for the Rochester Mn. area. Very nice park.Enjoyed the walkways and the up hill is not for someone with handicap. Very Nice

The outdoor walking paths were very well done and cared for. The pond had a floating bridge for the kids to walk on and see into the water and the indoor area was amazing with the animals to see and touch. Great place and a great way to spend an afternoon!

I have been visiting Quarry Hill Nature Center for my entire life. It is a true gem in Rochester. The nature center includes many native MN species, classroom and meeting space. The staff is knowledgeable and kind and strive to educate anyone who walks through the door. There are a variety of unique ecosystems located in the park including; the lake, the quarry filled with fossils, an oak savannah, butterfly garden, picnic areas, paved trails and snowshoe and cc ski trails in the winter. QHNC is a beautiful, peaceful place to visit.
