Hi Lori, we're sorry to hear your last experience with us was not an enjoyable one. We would like to talk with you more about your visit so we can figure out how we can make the next one better. If you have some time, please give us a call at 563-873-6700.
Just an ok casino. Nothing fancy, but something to do in Marquette, IA for a road trip stop. They didn't explain your free play money very well.
Pretty much like any Indian casino but not as smoky as most of them. Staff was very helpful. A very long walk on the walkway across the Mississippi River. There are some fun games to play.
Of the casinos that I go to, this one is the greatest, in my book. The offers that I get every month surpasses any other place, and puts a couple to shame. The staff is excellent, very friendly, no matter what the question is or what you need from them. The boat itself is small, but there is a lot of slots offered. Its right on the Mississippi River, beautuful location! And the buffet is always great, whether its lunch or dinner, and now breakfast, I have complimented them many times on their food and even said some other casinos need to take lessons from them on cooking!!If you want a nice time and enjoys homey casinos, this is THE place. Been a member there for over 5 years now, and still enjoy my 85 mile drive there.
Basic riverboat casino with three decks and one is non-smoking which is nice....machines are somewhat dated....a decent Buffet...Go the night they have the crap leg special.
Plenty of slots for all preferences - old school goodies & new interactive slots too. Craps table, other card game tables & very well trained staff. And, the restrooms & casino floor were constantly being cleaned. Bonus!
This casino is old and rundown. Most of the staff was very unfriendly and didn't look like they even wanted to be there. The smell of cigarette smoke is so strong that even the non-smoking level smells. The air circulation is terrible, I had to leave because I couldn't breathe. I did enjoy the penny games! Wouldn't waste my time of money in this place again. Sorry...
The buffet used to be a lot better but now it seems like there are not as many options. The servers do not always stay on top of refills either. The casino staff are friendly and helpful but I wish it was like Illinois casinos where they are smoke free. It can get quite full of smoke. Iowa needs smoke free casinos.
Compliments: Friendly staff - The idea of a boat casino is pretty cool Complaints: Smelly - dirty atmosphere - lacking food options (there is a small food store, but with few options) Bottom line: The casino is located in a beautiful area and worth a visit just to say you've been there, but the experience was uneventful and I wouldn't go back.
Didn't like the smokey smell. Our clothes after we left stunk and we woke with headaches the next day. When you aren't a smoker, it isn't fun. Also, no one came around to ask if we wanted a drink which was strange as previous visits they did. We go here just on occasion for something different to do.
We have eaten at the Lady Luck Buffet several times and have always found the service to be somewhat lacking. Drinks are not refilled and plates are not cleared - the two things that servers are responsible for at a buffet. (If they don't want to refill drinks, put in a drink station where customers can refill their own). We ate there this weekend and the service was the poorest it's ever been. Our server walked by us several times to go assist the high rollers (membership cards prominently displayed). The problem? We had empty drink glasses and dirty plates. The high rollers had full drinks and a clean table. In watching the other tables, we noticed that this was a trend. We also noticed that the servers were very friendly to the high rollers, and bordering on rude to everyone else. While I realize the high rollers contribute a lot of money to the casino itself, we paid the same amount to eat at the buffet as they did. Our service should have been comparable. Now for the food - it's a little hit and miss. There's a decent variety of food, but nothing spectacular. (The food is also fairly bland. I have never eating anything there that made me exclaim "Wow! That was REALLY good!") We were there on a Friday night during lent, so it was heavy on the seafood - crab legs, shrimp, seafood lasagna, cod, catfish, etc. The staff does a good job of keeping the food stocked and hot foods are kept hot, cold foods are kept cold. (Skip the breads and buns though - they are always dried out). There is also a dessert bar featuring a variety of treats - pie, cheesecake, bars, etc. For the cost of the buffet, I would recommend eating elsewhere. You can definitely find better service, and most likely better food elsewhere.
I came to Lady Luck while I was in the area. The casino was laid out very well, and they had an entire level of non-smoking machines to play. The skywalk is a bit long, but they do offer electric wheelchair rides across for those of us with bad knees... I'll definitely be back, the staff was extremely friendly!
We drove from Winona to spend my birthday at the boat. When I checked in I asked if they did anything special for a persons birthday......answer was NO....not unless you get something in the mail. Mind you I did not even ge a Happy Birthday.OK so off to gamble my husband and I went. After a bit he went to get us a beer. I kid you not, he waited 20 minutes. We went to a different level in hopes to get better service... Didn't happen. We were going to make a day and include dinner but decided enough is enough...They don't want our business and I think customer service makes or breaks any business. We left after only and hour and spend my birthday at another place.....So sad,,,,,,We will not return!
This is an ok casino on the river, was in the area and decided to try my luck on the slots. I didn't have much luck :) I think the casino needs an update the slots are outdated and the layout is a little confusing. But overall its ok if your in the area.
We thought we would be able to get a special deal, but found out this was connected to the Seminole group in Florida that we already are registered with. It's a long walk up a winding path to get to the casino. Lots of games. We didn't think it was anything special
