I love to ski but am not that great at it. I don't like to be afraid - just like to go up and down and enjoy the experience. Peak 9 has the best beginner slopes around - much better than Keystone, I think. Of course, there are blues and access to blacks, but I will take those awesome, easy greens.

Megapod1988

The base area here seemed crowded with huge, ugly buildings. Terrain is beginner and lower intermediate.

This peak has a large variety of slopes and ability levels for any level skier. There is a shuttle drop off right by the lift, making it very convenient.

After a "few" years of not skiing, this mountain offered a quick re-aclimation to skiing. Very well run and the mountain staff were excellent. Fantastic place for kids to get some ski time in. You can quickly move up to the harder trails without too much trouble. Highly recommend this Peak for everyone..

Good variety of runs and connections to other peaks, efficient lift system. Good views, pretty tree-lined terrainAvoid on Saturdays and public holidays if you can, but even then, preferable to Peak 8Facilities at the bottom ie the Maggie are tired and neglected - Vail Resorts slacking. independently run Overlook offers better facilities.

Lunch is expensive, Drinks are expensive - but your a captive audience on a mountain ski slope, so not alot you can do besides bringing your own box lunch.

I stayed at peak 9, but preffered Peak 8! The runs are very easy, and I like a little more challenge and the Beaver Run resort really spoils the scenery...

There was a nice variety of green slopes to get back into the groove of things and blue slopes for when you were ready to challenge yourself. Peak 8 has a better selection of blacks.

Nice runs. A great place for the first tracks program. The lifts were fast and convenient to many intermediate runs and a few black groomers.

Take the Gondola up form the North Gondola Parking Lot ($5) to the base of Peak 9. Lots of hills for lots of abilities. Eat at the top of Peak 9. Eat their food or bring your own - they don 't mind. If it is warm enough it is great to eat outside at the top of Peak 9.

While Breckenridge can be known for its wind, the runs on Peak 9 are fairly sheltered. Only bad thing about Peak 9--Vail Corporation took over the restaurant at Peak 9 so it is now too crowded with chairs/tables and the food is way overpriced like the other on-mountain restaurants.

Peak 9 has great slopes for the Beginner and Intermediates. Access to Peak 10 (Black and Double Black slopes). Plenty of lifts, rarely a wait, friendly staff. We go every year and love it. Easy access with (free) buses and very close parking lot (5 minute walk, $12/day).

This is where I take beginners to learn how to ski. Long easy runs, like a really long gentle driveway...

mjmorse9

great skiing for all levels. Convenient to Trails End Condominium where we stayed. Not as crowded as Peak 8.

Mostly blue trails but very nice and very skiable. Good uphill capacity especially if you use Beaver Run. Love skiing at Breck
