Take you children to visit the animals. They will love this place. It's been there for many, many years and keep improving it. We use to go just to see the bear and now they have all kinds of animals and many different gardens. Take the time to visit.

It was really fun, it's free and the animals are so cute! Bring something to feed them (we brought hot dog buns). Go when is it a nice day (it's outside). If you don't bring food there is little dispensers of pellet like things for 0.25 for just a little handful I suggest you bring food.(some foods are carrots, popcorn, apples, bread)

The park is really no big deal. It's more local than anything. The petting zoo was pretty fun for my kids and so was the playground. They have a really nice place to picnic next to the petting zoo. You can bring fresh apples, lettuce, kale and carrots, to feed to the animals. But it is a very small park. If you're an adult without small kids, skip it.

We visit very often and love the staff, residents and fellow visitors we meet. Small, great for all ages, clean, picnic area, many friendly animals to meet and hand feed, children's outdoor reading nook, tours available, educational events, birthday parties, nature summer camp, gardens, small pond, neighboring full playground, next to Deitz Stadium track and field.

Forsyth Park is wonderful for all ages- I have so much fun on the playground with my four-year-old friend, and the petting zoo is such a nice treat. There aren't that many kid-friendly places around that are also free. Speaking of free, can't wait for the Summer Movies in the Park to return!

Great place to break up the day, and amuse kids. animals are well taken care of and the gardens are beautiful. The also have activities and a wonderful fall festival. Staff are very nice and knowledgeable. Fun and safe playground area. Nice place to relax also.

Forsyth Park has many areas that appeal to different people. There is a nice kiddie playground, Tennis courts, a small baseball field, and a tiny zoo(Cow,sheep, llamas, goats potbellied pig, ducks, p and other fowl, and turtles.) There are different model gardens in the zoo. There is a small aviary, and two larger ones containing rehabilitating raptors. The City of Kingston dosn't have the funds to keep the park in tip top shape, but the animals are well cared for and all the lawns are mowed. It is a pleasant open space in a small city.

The playground is the real draw for our out-of-town grandkids. It is large with lots of favorites: the firemen's pole, the tire ride, slides, the overhead rings, bridges & walkways to name a few. This beautifully planned area is partially fenced in and includes some picnic benches, real bathrooms and a nearby sheltered pavilion with lots more picnic benches. After expending some energy and eating a snack, the kids are always ready to relax with the animals in the zoo, a short walk around the bend. This nature center is a top request whenever the kids visit.

The park had a great playground and a small free zoo. Good times for a 5 and 7 year old granddaughters

This is a farm style "zoo", with a few exotic creatures and an unusual reptile house. Best for kids ages 1-11; there is a picnic area with benches; and is so convenient for a quick and free thing to do with the family. Adjacent to the zoo is a baseball diamond, field, kinderland playground with swings, slides, and climbing places. There is a large pavilion for rent, just contact the City of Kingston. Also, Dietz Stadium is the next property over and has ample extra parking.

This small park has several things that are of interest. First, there is a small, well kept zoo which is excellent for kids. There is also a beautiful wooden playground, tennis courts, and a picnic area. A large field is perfect for picnicking, laying in the sun, or kickball games. There is also a path around the whole thing if you want to walk a dog or just take a stroll. Very nice, clean, outdoor area. There are also some bathrooms, but I haven't ever used them.

Excellent park for kids to play in and the little zoo is wonderful. They have kind and intelligent staff. Basketball courts are also available.

I think Forsyth Park is a great place to take the kids. There's a pretty big playground, with a pretty large pavilion, then a huge field with a baseball diamond way out. But also, the one thing I love about it is the mini-zoo they have. It's more of an animal sanctuary, they've taken in animals in the past who have medical issues (nothing scary or contagious, trust me), but not all do. But the animals are friendly and you can see them up close, even feed them carrots! Not like in other zoos where sometimes you don't even see any animals. Nothing too exotic, but the goats, sheep, and llama are my favorite. I'm not sure about its hours, its very small and fund-run.

A very small zoo where you can feed the animals. Mostly farm animals with a few exotics. Also a playgound. The zoo is free with limited hours bring bread, lettuce or popcorn. If you are looking for a break from the thruway it is less than five minutes from the kingson exit and the kids will tire themselves out. We go here all the time.

It's a free little zoo in Kingston and a Nature Preserve and Education Center. There is a bull, sheep, peacocks, pot-bellied pig, lamb, rabbits, deer, llamas and all are tame and the kids enjoy visiting them.
