Great places to visit, very clean and safe. It is small but suitable to visit with family and kids! Very interesting site at all.

Small compact zoo, best reptile exhibits anywhere. Also have Amur leopards. The Aquarium is under repair and they have a new Carousel that is just wonderful. Children frendly and accessible by car (free parking) or public transportation.

It's too bad that the SI Zoo is not readily accessible by ferry. Then again, it's probably why this attraction is so manageable and good for kids, particularly young ones.

Gets better every year ! The petting zoo and the snakes , pony rides in great park like surroundings ! Lunch you can take with you or buy at the cafe . Nice time to to take your kids or grand kids for a morning or afternoon . It's not too big so even the smaller ones will enjoy !

I was pleasantly surprised at the SI Zoo. We were checking it out for a possible birthday party place for my 3 year old. Although we found that too expensive and inconvienient for the number of kids, we had a great family day. My daughter especially loved the petting zoo.

The Staten Island zoo is a friendly place, just the right size for young children (and their weary parents). This is so much better than the Bronx Zoo if you have little ones. In addition to the usual animals to be fed and/or petted, it has one of the best rattlesnake exhibits I've seen -- with zoo keepers around to explain and give some hands on experiences to the kids (and their parents). There are enough indoor exhibits for a really cold day, and enough outdoor exhibits to be able to enjoy good weather. And the price is right.

Nice to have the zoo on our island. Easy to travel to and kids love it. Especially like it when there are special events.

The Staten Island Zoo is really great. For children and adults .There is always something new to. see. The children feed the animals at the petting zoo. I like the reptile house the best. If you need a break , you can stop at the snack bar. It's clean and safe .I hope you will stop by. Call ahead to check for special events. Enjoy.

It is a nice zoo for younger children and parent's without patience. The reptile exhibit is really great. The animals are great, but it does not compare to the other zoos in the city. I do recommend it, but it is not a whole day event.

very good place for the parents/children to see different animals and birds, and understand their behavior.

Kids of all ages will find something fun & interesting & do will their parents. Picnic areas encourage families to spend the day.

Children will like feeding the animals. As far as zoos go it is okay for a small zoo. The have a small snack bar.

Very well kept. I like that they have people out holding animals, giving info about them, and letting people pet them. Very informative. Big parking lot. They have many nice special events throughout the year.
