Dry Hill is a small local ski hill. Don't expect Breckenridge. Dry Hill is a FANTASTIC place for kids to learn to ski/snowboard.

Since I wasn't released for skiing by my physician, we went tubing on Dry Hill. Even as adults we had a blast. There's something about snow and speed that brings out the smiles in everyone. We laughed out loud, raced like the wind, crashed a few times, and warmed up next to the fire pit. It's a small town ski experience and inexpensive. Make sure to bring cash for the diner and adult beverages. Minimal wait for the ski lift or tubing lines.

Went a couple years back and will never return. Extremely crowded, overpriced, and cramped. My husband *tried* to teach me how to ski, which was a nightmare because of the high traffic of skiers and snowboarders. No room to just even stand without being ran over. Even if I did learn how to ski after all of that, one hill is your only option. Positive note: the tubing was fun!

Pretty nice place for something to do in the city limits, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, a fun day trip. A little higher in price than used to be, but everything has gone up

Great experience! We drove across the border from Kingston, Ontario and had a wonderful day. The never-ever lesson program is a great value, since it includes a 2-hour lesson and rental equipment for the day for $35! Try to get there an hour in advance to pay for your lesson and get your gear organized. We went on President's Day weekend, so our class had ~12 people in it. We were pleasantly surprised how the slopes were not too crowded. A lift ticket is also included in the price of the never-ever lesson, but it turned out that the instructors only gave lift tickets to 2/12 people in our class because they didn't think the rest were ready for the slopes. This is strange, since anyone (regardless of skill) can purchase a lift ticket. A lift ticket and rentals would be more expensive than the lesson, so it is a good way for them to promote safety for beginners on the hill. My wife didn't "pass" the never-ever course, so she ended up paying for a one-on-one lesson for an hour (only $30!). It was well worth it, because the instructor picked up her lift ticket and took us both up on the lift and guided us down the ski hill a few times. We were surprised how many levels of runs there are and the variety of skill levels we observed. Great time over all and a much better deal (even with the one-on-one lesson) than the slopes nearby in southern Ontario.

If you or your spouse haven't skiied, you would be remiss in not giving it a try at Dry Hill. Gentle conditions and engaged staff make this a wonderful place to begin a lifelong active sport. It is also one of the best places we've been to in terms of helping the young ones get started. Very patient, tolerant instructors that move your child to the appropriate skill group at the child's pace, not on some blueprint. A wintertime must do!

First time on skies, would have plowed into everything stationary and everyone not quick enough to move out of my way but for the quick-witted, professional, and patient instructor, Mike. Snack-bar folks and food was wonderful, equipment rental folks were as welcoming as wet socks but knew their business, prices were extremely fair - a great way to hit the gerbil-incline for beginners while not straying too far from Ft Drum. Excellent value for money!

We visited Dry Hill for our family day vacation. This is a super hill for families. They only have 1 chair lift and 1 t-bar, but if your family just wants a reasonable day of skiing/boarding - its great! Try their first-ever and second-ever packages. $35 for rentals, lift ticket + lessons!!

We drove down to Dry Hill today to ski with our two young boys. Our youngest had a private lesson and our oldest joined a group (which only ended up having one other student). Both our kids learned a lot and we were very impressed. Jeremy, the instructor who taught our youngest, was exceptional. Our 5 year old learned so much on the hour he spent with him. We will request him again next time, for sure. As for the hill, it is PERFECT for a family with younger children. It's wide and open, and there aren't any cliffs to worry about on the sides of the hills. The best part was the price. We went to a similar hill a few weeks ago and paid $100 more for the same day. We did end up spending a bit more after our ski day, however, as we decided to try out their toboggan hill. It was so much fun for us as well as the kids, so the extra was certainly worth it. Plus, the staff running the hill were very personable and professional. It was a great day and we can't wait to go back!

Nice little ski hill - great for new skiiers. Have taken 2 lessons there and have been very impressed with the intructors both times. Even the instructors that are not assigned to you are happy to help out. If you plan to buy food, be prepared and bring cash as the snack bar doesn't take debit or credit.

Hardpack & total ice for the trails. Quite small but still; it's pretty much the only place to ride around here.

I have been to Dry Hill many times. It is a very enjoyable ski slope for a day of fun. The prices are average as well as the slopes. Don't expect big mountain style runs, or fancy slope amenities. Definitely not a bad place for some down hill fun.

Loved the 2 hour snowboard lessons for my kids. Great place to learn to ski/snowboard. Also accepted Canadian at par. Friendly staff and instructors.

I don't ski anymore because it hurts to much when I fall, but all three of our kids , spouse and boyfriends really enjoy Dry Hill. To bad this winter was poor on snow, but hey, I am happy because I didn't have to shovel that much!

A nice little ski hill close to home. Very family oriented. With a nice fire place and snack bar inside. Very reasonable priced.
