Very recently I took a trip to the Scott store because I had never been there before. I brought my daughter who is 4, son who is 7 and my youngest daughter who is 6 months. As soon as I walked in I loved it, the building is absolutely beautiful and very clean. However the workers are not welcoming and are so incredibly rude. My 4 year old has autism and is partially blind and the whole time we were walking around the girls stood behind the counter watching and talking about her. As I went to check out one of the girls actually had the nerve to ask "what's wrong with her eyes" I was so insulted I left all my candy and my children's candy on the counter and left. Those girls need to taught some manners to say the least!! I will NOT be going back!

I go to the Scott location all the time and love the girls there! So welcoming and friendly. They have a great selection of fudge, truffles, ice cream, new candy and old time candy. The store is always so neat and clean! I recently visited the Rayne location and was not as impressed as I am with Scott. Maybe the employees at the Rayne location should rethink their selection of clothing that don't include shirts too tight and leggings. Still an awesome store though!

The varieties of flavors are limited and the pricing a bit on the high side, not affordable for a family.

Wonderful selection of old time candy. Not often do you find a place with Black Jack gum. They offer home made fudge of all delicacies and over 25 flavors of Blue Bell Ice Cream. Tried the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in a chocolate dip cone...would skip the chocolate dip cone next time! The ice cream is delicious!

i could find candy here I haven't had since I was a kid, great choice of candy, fudge, and taffy. Try their Tabasco dark chocolate. They also have good ice cream, stop here if you have a sweet tooth

The ice cream and fudge selection are really outstanding. One can find cand selections best remembered from the 50s and 60s. The store even has fizzies! If you like coffee with your sweets, don't go on Sunday. NO COFFEE ON SUNDAYS!

I have 3 little girls and they loved going to Candyland Cottage. Good ice cream, fudge, and a ton of candy to choose from / look at. People were very nice. If you have children this is a great place to go!

We walked over after filling up with fuel from the service station. Got a couple of ice cream cones. The people were friendly and the shop had alot of neat old relics and candy. Restroom was clean. Little part of americana.

We had Frito pies followed by a peice of fudge for dessert. Everything was good. You ordered the food at the counter and brought it to your table.

I had a repair job at the Rayne Location and found 4 dead Rats... I am not going to take a chance for sure..

I found candy there that I haven't seen in a very long time. It reminded me of an old time candy store/soda shop. The candy items there were ones that I ate as a child.

Take your business elsewhere. Owner refuses to return calls about a serious problem in his establishment. Has a very bad attitude. Workers are more worried about talking amongst themselves then helping people. Even my kids asked why no one would help us get ice cream when there were workers right there not even busy or helping other customers..

When my kids spotted "Candyland" from the highway, you can imagine the squeals. We went about our business and decided to go back that evening around 8pm. There was one other person there, so we pretty much had the store to ourselves to browse around. Honestly, I was a little disappointed. Not in the content of the goodies....but I was expecting spectacular decor and more of a "candyland" feel (as in the board game). Don't get me wrong, it's definitely all about sweets. I was just hoping for something more. I'm not sure how to explain it. Anywho, they have TONS of candy. I kept finding little hidden treasures from when I was a kid. Like Astro Pops!! I used to eat those at the little league park ALL THE TIME. Or pop rocks. Or Bit-O-Honey. Or...the list goes on. They had gigantic gummy bears (too rich for my blood), Blue Bell ice cream (but no regular coffee ice cream :( , so I settled for plain ole' chocolate!), chocolate covered insects, every lollipop imaginable, T-Shirts, an Indian headdress made of feather suckers, bins of 5, 10, 15 cent candies, gummy snakes, bubble gum, rock candy, old fashioned licorice, stick candy of all different flavors....on and on and on!! I saw the fudge and the truffles, but my husband's wallet said "no". Hee Hee. The young ladies working there were very nice. Love how easy it is to get to, also! Nice ending to a good evening.

This is a great spot to stop when traveling I-10! Easy on and off the interstate. They have TONS of candy including older types of candy that can be hard to find, saltwater taffy, homemade fudge and blue bell ice cream. They also have the world's largest gummy bears. The staff is very friendly as well.
