We went here as part of a mini stay-cation. It's about an hour away from home so not a big bother. I loved swimming around in the pool. The kids liked the slides but we all just chose to relax and it was fun. Most of the areas nearby had already started school and we went on a weekday so it wasn't crowded at all. We rented a pavilion for lunch and we parked right at it. It was great to not worry about our items, a place to get out of the sun while we ate lunch and not a long walk to car in a sunny parking lot. I wish it stayed open longer so I could go back often.

My family with kids ages 6 and 13 went on a Tuesday in July and had a blast. We met 2 other friends there to give us 3 adults and 7 kids total. It was overcast and not crowded at all. The $24 admission price was worth every penny to be in such a clean, friendly and safe environment. The grounds and restrooms were wonderfully maintained. The only negative was the large amount of bees around the picnic area and garbage cans. This was my second visit with my first being about 10 years ago. There were plenty of slides with short lines and the large swimming area was great. The other guests were all clothed appropriately and I did not hear any foul language which I have encountered at other parks. This is definitely a very family family place and we will be back!

In between a state highway, a cow pasture, a soybean field and a wooded mountain is a first class water park. It may not be the largest park you've been to before, but my guess is that it will be one of your favorites. The price is extremely reasonable. The 6 large waterslides are great and the 2 other thrill rides are exactly that. One of them too extreme for me. The 2 acre pool is wonderful. A large portion of it, probably about a third, is shallow and has ample entertainment for young swimmers. There are many shaded areas with tables and shelters available as well as open sun exposed grass for sun seekers. I love that you can pack your own food, drinks, tents... without any hassle. I live near enough that I bought season passes for myself and kids. The environment is very safe--pool and people. We use it as some would a neighborhood pool, but with way more space and fun. Weekdays are ideal with small crowds usually. But, weekends are not bad either.

I followed some friends who had been here before and felt like I was in the middle if nowhere. Once we arrived I was surprised at the variety this place had to offer. The admission is comparable to other parks, but when you factor in the fact you can bring your own food and drinks it makes this place a bargain! We had 6 kids and three adults and the kids had a blast for 7 straight hours. It's a little out of the way to say the least but a very cool setting. I still would like to know some history on how this place came to be, but because we plan to go back I might just ask someone.

We LOVE Spring Valley Beach. My sister and I have 3 kids between us ranging in age from 10 to 16. My teenage daughter brought her friend with her this time (who is 17) and we brought her younger brother who is 8. We all loved it. There is something here for every age. From the tiniest water lover to the oldest, they can accomodate pretty much anyone.

We love coming here- we always go during the week when it's not too crowded. Not had a bad experience yet! Such a great local place.

I have not been to this place since i was a child and it was called Alan's lake or something like that. Awesome for all ages and pure family atmosphere. They have serious "whitewater" type rides and flumes and a great play area for our four year old. They have gazebos and picnic pavillions available for rent which we will definitely do next time. The staff was young but very friendly and plenty of lifeguards to go around. I love the posted signs that say "these are life guards, not your babysitters". We will definitely be back, and season passes are in our future.Their wesite is cool, but does not do it justice just go and you will not be disappointed!

Love the location, but the price is a little steep. Lots of room for all ages. The areas you rent are awesome, but hard to get later int he year. Love the atmosphere. Fun for all ages.

This is a homey water park because you can bring your cooler or grill and cook out. It is a large shallow pool with several slides. It also has an uphill area with other water slides. It is about an hour south of Huntsville. It is worth the drive for a day long trip. We usually eat at Pizza Hut in Arab on the way back home. A fun day that is usually selected by my daughter for her birthday. It is a little pricey though so we don't always let her take a lot of kids.

Spring Valley Beach is located in Blountsville,AL. It has alot of activities for a family. There is a water slide, a lake for swimming. There are connessions but you can bring your own picnic lunch.

My family went with my sister and her family one Saturday. It was a long drive from Chelsea, but we had a great time in the largest swimming pool in AL. We reserved a gazebo and grilled, AWESOME!

I took my daughters (9 & 12) & several of their friends (male & female) up for a day of fun in Blountsville. We went on a Tuesday 7/10 & there was NO ONE there! I was shocked :) Admission is a little $$ but, once a summer is fine. It would be better if you could go as a group 20+ & then the price drops.I had a great time as the only adult & since all of the children were 9 or above it was a little more relaxed.***NOTE: I do NOT recommend this attraction for small children or unsure swimmers. Their pool has lifeguards but, it is the LARGEST pool in the state of Alabama... so unless you are willing to swim/stand all day in the water yourself watching your own small children- just wait until they are a little older & more sure of themselves :)They went on everything but the concrete slides (& that was just a personal choice for me as a mom & for me in charge of other people's children :) They loved the 360 or toliet bowl is what we called it. Bring a cooler full of drinks- set it along with your towels at a picnic table & take off. We stayed almost until close 5:30-ish & we had just packed everything up when it started to rain. Great day- will go again next summer!
