So pretty, peaceful and just lovely! Arlington is right next to Cambridge and there is plenty of nightlife, great food, museums, you name it1

I was excited when we moved to Arlington. Spy Pond Park not only has a cool little playground, a nice path to walk around, but also a beach for the kids during summer. The ducks can be annoying, but its nice to see others in town, let the kids cool off.. all within a short walk of the bus and/or bike path.

Ice used to be exported from here to Chennai, South India and the place is still called ICE HOUSE, across the beach in Chennai City at Triplicane.

A lovely oasis in Watertown: Spy park is a well-tended little lake-front place and ideal for appreciating the setting sun. Little sandy beaches--kiddie-sized. In fact the park is stroller- and kiddie-friendly. Not sure if water is always swimmable. Port-a-cabins dismantled at end of summer :-(

Fun playground with a beach nearby and boat rentals. Gorgeous scenery. Playground is fenced. I bring a net with me and let the kids play on the shore to see what they can pull in. Jerome does a Carporama sometimes to teach children the joy of fighting with a carp, then see it swim away after release.

I lived by Spy Pond for over two decades and watched it go from a sketchy dump to one of the nicest outdoor community spaces in eastern Massachusetts. The landscaping unobtrusively encourages you engage with the Pond, with little stony outcrops by the shore. The Friends of Spy Pond work hard to keep it clean and well-maintained, with the invasive shore weeds kept at bay. There are benches and picnic tables, with grassy areas for families to put down a blanket. Kids have fun exploring in a natural, safe environment. If you need a break from cycling on the adjacent Minuteman Bike Path, this is the place to enjoy the view.

I walk go Spy Pond Park early mornings, it is a great walk if you live near Minuteman Bike Path, and Spy Pond is really lovely. Park has a playground and in summer they rent kayaks on weekends. Many people bring their own kayaks and enjoy the pond. Many geese and ducks and swans as well as people with dogs, great place if you love animals. I see people bringing their dogs for a swim as well. Water seems clean and I have seen people swimming, but I am not sure if it is allowed. You can always just sit at the benches, have a picnic, take a walk, enjoy the scenery. Overall a great spot at all times and a favorite among residents of Arlington.

The Spy pond park is very accessible. It's shaped like a long strip between two parking areas and is bordered by the pond on one side and by a ridge and the bike trail on the other. This leaves a nice long car-free strip of green and waterfront for strolling and for letting kids run loose without stressing about cars. The ridge also blocks out some of the sounds of Mass Ave. The bike trail access is a nice plus, and there are benches and tables scattered through the park. There is also a small playground. As little parks right in the center of urban towns go, it's very nice, with lovely landscaping and a safe secluded feel.

The Park is along the banks of Spy Pond, a beautiful site and the entire family will enjoy walking along the paths. a great place for a peaceful solo visit as well

Spy Pond is a beautiful body of water surrounded by houses and trees. It has a small playground at its public entrance site. There is boating in season, but no swimming. There are facilities for picnicking. The Arlington Boys' and Girls' Club is located on its shore and is now a superb place for kids of all ages to play and/or take classes. There are also team sports. But mostly it is a beautiful place to just sit and believe in the beauty of nature.

Such a beautiful place. We love biking around the pond and decided to have our our justice of peace wedding ceremony here. It was beautiful.

Spy Pond Park is a linear park with a walking trail, benches, picnic tables and a children's' playground that is parallel to part of the Minuteman Cycle Path. It runs from just east of Arlington Center for about half a mile toward East Arlington.

Spy Pond is tucked away just a short walk from "downtown" Arlington's shops and stores. There is a paved trail to walk on along the shore of the pond and several places to have a private moment and sit and contemplate the pond and even some picnic tables. There is also a small playground and the recreation department even rents canoes and kayaks (not entirely sure of the schedule). After spending time in the park, enjoy a great meal at one of the many great restaurants in Arlington. It makes far a wonderful and relaxing day.

This is a beautiful pond in the middle of a suburban setting, it takes you by surprise to see this large body of water in the middle of a "thickly settled" town near Cambridge,MA. The "kettle pond" was formed millions of years ago when the glaciers moved over the continent. Historically, the ice from the frozen was sold back before there was refrigeration. Arlington,MA is a very walkable/ bikeable town and the Minuteman Bikeway travels right by this and many other beautiful and historic locations in this sought-after suburb.

A few years ago, this park underwent a renovation, thus, at this point, it is quite nice. There are grassy areas, picnic tables, and a nice playground for kids. The park is right on Spy Pond so there is a nice view. The minuteman bike trail is right next to the park if you want to run, walk, or ride. The Boys and Girls club is right there and they rent kayaks and canoe's certain months of the year. Finally, there is a big field very close by that contains a few tennis courts. All in all, it is quite a nice place to hang out.
