It might not be one of the top tourist attractions in Boston, but this historic ship is a rather nice option to spend another 30 min on your walk throughout Boston.Reading the history of the ship is a MUST if you want to get the most out of the experience.

Walking on board the USS Salem is a chance to look back and see what it was like for sailors in the recent past, the tight quarters and simple life. Ways of fighting wars and patrolling the seas has changed, but it's good to be reminded of earlier days. At Halloween time the ship has their annual haunted house which gives a different twist to the vessel.

It is an interesting ship. Fun learning experience. It's a self guided tour with information posted along the way. These ships weren't build with tall people in mind. Watch your head. Tickets were reasonably priced. The ship is in need of some much needed restoration.
