Huge and beautiful campus. We tried to stop by after a long day of site seeing only to be defeated by the size of the campus. I'm sure it's beautiful but def. plan to spend 2-3 hours here.
Great tour led by very engaging students who truly loved being at Hopkins. The campus seemed large, but 10 minute walk from top to bottom made it easy to get around.
Everything there open mind is a window on what can be your future. The best of the best. center of excellence in Science and life.
I took my daughter here for a tour last summer. the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It lasts a few hours and getting transportation to and from the campus was a breeze.rebeca schauer
This is an older university that is clearly well-maintained. It has east coast charm and beauty. Love it.
The university is beautiful but be careful of the surrounding areas. Check Urbanspoon for some very good restaurants in the area. Also check out the cathedral and art museum on campus.
Great hospital, awesome staff, pretty good parking. There are different buildings but the posted signs are very well done when explaining which facility and how to enter each part
Well run, very organized and easy to park and find the visitor center since the elevator brings you right into it. Tours & info sessions were on time and despite the frigid temps, everything went according to plan. Pat and Ian did a fabulous job at giving us all information we could possibly need. All of the students we spoke with were kind, informative and enthusiastic. Being adimitted would be totally awesome!
In the busy city of Baltimore, this campus full of huge trees and beautiful lawn sure is a nice place to stroll for a while. The architecture is also worth taking the time to enjoy.
A gorgeous campus. It is worth a long stroll either as part of a campus visit or as a tag-on to a visit to the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA), which sits at the south end of the campus. The architecture is a combination of academic colonial (Latrobe, Remsen) and tasteful modern (Garland, Brody). Starting from the BMA, stroll past the quaint old Newsletter Building, then up Charles Street into the Mattin Center. Leave from the top of Mattin and heads toward the MSEL Library. Behind the MSEL is the main quad. Check out Gilman Hall, the flagship building. Turn north towards Homewood Field. Pass through the sculpture garden called Bufano Garden. Check out the stadium and new baseball field. Cross University Parkway to have a peaceful beer or coffee at the One World Cafe. Then wind back through the campus.
Top tier university in a neighborhood setting. Lots of energy on campus. Attractive playing fields for their sports teams and rich in history and tradition.
great doctors, hospital is run down and way out of date....Nurses intercom system goes off in every room. Food is unbelievably bad.
We made a special trip down from southeastern Pennsylvania to walk around the campus with my pre-college app son. Although the campus was completely empty for the holiday we were able find our way around the well ordered campus.Consistently executed in a restrained colonial architecture it is obvious the campus architect has vision and a means to execute a beautiful master plan.
If you have a medical problem or need a complete physical, GO TO JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL. Everyone is a professional. Our Dr spent 75 minutes examining my wife and made her diagnosis which no other Dr could. Extremely pleased with our visit.
Used to be the port but now I think Hopkins has that distinction. The Homewood campus is beautiful and up to date thanks in part Michael Bloomberg's monetary donations. Interesting architecture along the rear twisting hilly road behind the campus. Historic home on campus worth a visit. Excellent medical system with some of the best departments in the world. Hospital worth a walk through while you are in good health.
